Can somebody share what people use to collect treats during the MNSSHP. I’ve seen people who had a lot of treats. I know how Disney gives the treats. I am aware that they give you a bag. Can you use something different?

Yes people have backpacks to empty the bag into to get more. Because you can keep going back to the stations. I’m guess you can take any bag you want. Just remember you have to carried it. Plus if you spend all the time going to the stations you don’t get on many rides. Expensive ticket for candy.

The bag they give starts has a normal size chocolate in it. Last year it was M&M’s.

On multiple occasions I’ve seen people dumping the Disney bags into their own much larger bags, or even just dumping them in the bottom of a stroller. Some use their own trick or treat bags.

To each their own- but don’t lose sight of the fact candy is cheap vs that party ticket. $20 for a like a gallon at Costco. I hope those folks are living their best lives at the party- but with what I spend on a party ticket I want all the other stuff. Treats take a back seat and I still get a nicely full MNSSHP bag by the end of the evening (when lines are much shorter and the servings seem to get more generous).

We use the original bag as it’s easy to carry around. When it gets full we transfer to larger ziploc bags and move to my backpack.

I see things a bit differently from @gottalovepluto and candy for us is expensive so a couple of minutes in a candy line is well worth party time for our family. We wait until later in the night as we can easily cycle through candy stations in a quick bit of time.

Last year I saw everything from reusable grocery bags, hats and backpacks to plastic pumpkins but mostly the bags given out by CMs. Since I was partying solo and at MNSSHP for the first times ever I concentrated on the parades, the characters and rides with special themed effects like HM. Actually ended up with only a small bag of candy mostly to take home to DH and DS. And I plan to use my two Disney treat bags in my scrapbooking for that trip.

Disney will also sell larger trick or treat bags! And if you fill the one they give you up, you can ask for another one. I think one year I literally brought home 20 pounds of candy, and did all the rides and saw the parade - gotta be strategic! 🤣

Yes we were able to see the parade and get on many rides including Tron.
We ended up consolidate our bags into a small reusable frozen grocery bag. DS asked SW if it could be weighed and it came in at 15.4 pounds. DS was so excited.

Nicely done! We were with friends and it became kind of a competition to see who could get more candy! They won. My co-workers were happy when I got home (I had a spare carry on for the candy/souvenirs) as the majority of the candy ended up at work!
