Help!!!!

We may not be able to go to WDW after all and I would like to know if there is any way to get some kind of refund for the tix....( maybe some kind of % on the value?)I know I know wishful thinking but I am sure some of you may have been in my situation before.

What did you do? Sell the tickets somewhere like Ebay? (I know this is not recommended and I wouldn't buy tickets for myself on Ebay so I can imagine how hard it must be to sell them) They are tickets for 9/29 still stuck on the sheet where it describes the events.....I have to get some kind of refund!!

Whadda ya think? First time this ever happened to me, and I don't know what to do.

I didn't know if this was the right board to post so please feel free to move this post if you have to.

Unfortunately, tickets aren't transferable, so you're pretty-much left "holding the bag" so-to-speak, if you decide not to attend the event. I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago, with airline tickets that had a 100% change fee. My wife got sick on the way to the airport, and we were out $200.

I'd try to sell them on Ebay. You will probably get a good percentage of your money back. I sold some leftover passes several years ago before they switched to the new system & they sold very easily.

I am still planning to buy tickets for that night. How many do you have? Do they have your name on them or anything? All I need are 2 adults and one child but I would be willing to buy them. I don't know if I am even allowed to offer here.

how many tix do you have? we've not bought ours yet for that night...

ETA: oops! i see a previous poster had the same idea i did... sorry, not trying to steal your tickets! but if it doesn't work for the previous poster, pm me :thumbsup2

They say they are non-transferrable but they are apparently. When mine were accidentally made for the wrong date and then there were all kinds of screw-ups I asked the CM, can I just sell these tickets to someone else? She said she didn't see why not, they aren't hard coded to any particular person.

Long story short, call Disney and explain your situation. We were able to return MNSSHP tickets last year for a full refund. My DH is military and he had a change of orders. We sent the tickets back and got a refund. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Did you buy travel insurance through Disney? I don't know much about their policy, but perhaps this would be covered? If you bought the insurance, you could see if it'll cover the loss of the tickets.

I'm sorry you might have to cancel your trip. I hope you can reschedule soon.

I'm glad to see Disney generously making exceptions for folks defending our nation! :thumbsup2

Disney actually makes quite a few exceptions when it comes to hard ticketed events that are only good once and only for a specific date. If you have a good reason why you cannot use the tickets (trip cancelled, medical problems, etc), they will usually accommodate you with a refund. You must send the tickets back to them and your refund will follow.

They are not so lenient with MYW tickets that are good forever, at least until first use.
