MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

OMG...seriouslY??????? We didn't watch the first parade...only the headless horseman! You saw us, lol? That's great! We did see the helicopter but thought maybe they were filming for promotional stuff. OH lord...need to tell the people I was with.......

Hey there, not sure if this has been asked yet, but do they still have the fortune tellers/palm readers in adventureland? We were there about 5 years ago and they had them at that time. Must say they were amazingly accurate with their "readings." Anyway, we will arrive on Saturday and plant to attend the September 22nd MNSSHP. Can't wait!

We were told by the castmembers to keep our eyes on him as he was a special Jack. and we had it confirmed.. that Jack Sparrow was actually Johnny Depp in the first parade. Also.. if you saw.. there was a helicopter that flew high above MK.. not long afterwards...
I am looking for a good pic.. as I only have video.. EXCITING!!!

Hmm...that's interesting. Kinda weird since he was at the D23 Expo the next day (I know he could have flown, etc). How did you have it confirmed (the only reason I ask is I know sometimes some CMs will play around with people and such)?

Anyway, if that was him, that is definitely a very cool thing to see! I think I would have fainted!! hehe Then again, I haven't seen one of the Disney CMs as Jack yet - I think I would still be really excited for one of them!

Still looking for some character info from those of you who have gone....here it is...

Looking for some specific character info for anyone who has gone or is going soon.

1. When do Snow white and the dwarves come out for the first set and where? Now that they seem to be doign it differently how bad were the lines when the dwarves only were there and what time did they come out?

2. If anyone remembers or takes note of which villians go where from left to right in front of the castle after the show (we are looking for Maleficent (got an answer to this that she is far right) and Cruella specifically).

3. Is the Queen of Hearts on the Alice treat trail? Also is the Walrus?

4. What were Pooh and Friends wearing and is there any real good time to meet them?

The only thing I can answer is about Snow White and the dwarves, since we stalked them. Snow White and Dopey came out about 7:15 and the dwarves came out around 7:30. The line wasn't horrible at that point, but we were about the 4th people from the front of the line, as well. HTH! The earlier you get in line for the more in demand characters, the better off you'll be. We'd been in the park all day, changed around 6 and headed directly back to their spot.

When I ordered ours a few weeks back the CM said only at guest relations. I will find out tomorrow when I get them and let everyone know!

You guys were correct! I picked up our tickets at the concerige at the hotel lobby!! They are hard cards like the room keys, not like the paper tickets.

Hi.. We saw you.. lol I had a red ranger, green neon tink complete with her neon green shoes, pocohontas in a wheelchair..and a darth vader..lol

We saw the fish heads too while we were in Toontown getting our faces painted.... we thought they were too funny.. but a great costume.. LOL

I was at the 9/15 party and enjoyed it. Definite musts are the ghost pictures near haunted mansion, glass cinderella coach.

Characters are all over but between rides, candy, shows - it seems impossible to do it all in one night.

Fireworks are great, the parade as well. Saw only a bit of the villian show, but seemed good.

I also saw snow white with all seven dwarfs taking pictures just behind the tea cups

Last year it poured when we went, so I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted. Do the characters stay out during the parades? I'm thinking no, since some are actually in the parade. I'm struggling to make a schedule that will get it all done in one night.

They were out during the parade on 9/11 and 9/15, at least some of them were. We watched the parade from Frontierland and as soon as it passed us we went into Fantasyland and Toontown. The characters were dancing at the dance party near Ariel's Grotto -- Daisy and Minnie were there, and one night Mickey was there also, the Pooh characters were out across from the ride, and Mickey and Minnie were in Toontown. I thought it seemed kind of strange, seeing them moments before in the parade, and then again, while the parade was still going on, in other lands, lol.

I'm not sure about the Dwarves and Snow White, I didn't particularly notice them during the parade, but they might have been there since all the other characters were still out.

I am going to the party twice so I'm not worried about Hallowishes or the Parade on the first night.

Do you think this is possible?

7:00 at Cinderella's Carriage-I'll be on line like 6:30 or so LOL
7:30 Snow White & 7 Dwarfs (for some reason everyone is saying only Dopey & SW are out at 7 and the dwarfs come out at 7:30.
8:00 Haunted Mansion
8:30 Jasmine & Friends
9:00 Tarzan & Friends
10:05 Mix & Mingle 1 or 2 Villains if I can get more that's great if not I'll come back...
10:00 Mickey
10:30 Minnie
11:00 Alice and her Friends

If I can fit in anymore characters before the party ends I will add Pooh & Friends

I don't care about the fairies, stitch or Buzz because I can see them any day during my trip.

If you have been to the party can you tell me if these are the characters at these spots.

On the map it has 8 character spots
just over the bridge to Adventureland (Tarzan and friends)
Next to Magic Carpet Ride (Jasmine and friends)
By Liberty Tree Tavern (woody and friends)
by Poohs playful spot (pooh & friends)
by the entrance to Toontown (Snow White & dwarfs)
Judges Tent (Princesses and Fairies)
Treat Trail (trail to Tomorrowland) (Alice & friends)

Above poster..character lines are very busy. In previous years we waited about 45min to an hour to see Mickey and the same for Minnie..last year it was a good hour for Mickey and we were in line by 10 after seven..... Pooh is harder because it's Pooh and Eeyore set and tigger and Piglet the other....they switch we had to work at it to get both groups....Alice characters are easier ars they are on the trail however it could take up to 45 min or soo to get all the Alice characters if you want them'.......

For the people who have been asking about snow white and the seven dwarves lines, when we were there a cast member told me that they were out for half an hour, left, and then would be back after another half hour.
