MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

Thank you so much for the awesome map link! I've printed it out and we're already poring over it!

Thank you for the updated information, nutz4disney. We will be at the pirate's league on 10/2 also, and attending the party that evening. When we went out looking for costumes though they were pretty expensive. For that much $$ I might just wait to get the costumes at the pirate's league. Look for a family of four pirates and one very little princess there!

* Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween Costumes were at the beginning of Main Street, in a Gazebo, between Exposition Hall and the Train Station. I also heard you can find Mickey in costume in his house and Minnie in Toontown Hall. Again ask a CM

So where are Mickey and Minnie this year?
Are they at both the Gazebo on Main St. and in the Judge's Tent in Toontown?

thanks for posting the info. I had been waiting to see the new map to see what was opened. Seems pretty close to last years. Looking forward to it again.

Hey guys, I just wanted to make sure, I attended MNSSHP two years in a row (missed it last year), but Goliath (From Gargoyles not Jojo's Circus) wasn't in attendance and it is DH's all time favorite character.

Is he out this year behind the castle? Has anybody been able to verify? If that's the case I might have to get tickets as a surprise for DH.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm loving all the tips and information here! So excited -especially now that I can pour over the actual party map.

Any updates to the list of where each character can be found, from those who have attended this year?

Just a note since I remembered that we had an issue last year at MNNSHP - trying to get a decent counter service dinner during the party. :sad2:

Not all places are open (look at the brochure posted and see if your favorite place is listed), and do note they also limit menu options dramatically (for instance - check out Cosmic Rays, which usually has a much more well rounded menu - they just have a few things to pick from during the party).

For those with any type of special diet needs...please check ahead so you can fully enjoy your party time!! :goodvibes

This thread is awesome! Thanks for the wonderful information. My quick question: is there a similar thread for the Food and Wine Festival? We hope to hit both parties while we are in town and I need to gather info on Food and Wine. :thumbsup2

Thanks in advance!

It will be my first time at Disney, and I want to go to the MNSSHP.
We'll be there on october 8th to october 18th.

We'll go to the party on october 12th (monday). Do you think there will be more people, because it's Columbus Day?

Is the Columbia Harbour House a good idea for dinner, around 5pm?
EDIT : I've took a look at this year map and Columbia Harbour House will not be open. Does it means that it will close at 4pm?
Any other suggestion on where to eat, near a good parade spot?

And is near Hall Presidents a good spot to see the first parade?

Thanks a lot!

Hey guys sorry if this is already been asked....Where is the best place to see the Headless Horsemen ? Does he come around Liberty Square ? Also what's this I hear about someone telling a story about the legend of the Headless Horsemen ? We have tickets to the October 31st party !

Don't know if you know this but Food and Wine isn't actually a party, it's an even that runs day and night as far as i'm aware.

Feeling like a newbie here, but when I click on both of these links, the front of the brocure says 2008...
:confused3

Not sure what the problem is ... when I click on the link the front cover says
"2009" in candy corn under the title and then at the very top of the map part it says 2009 again. :confused3

The link I posted on the first page is to the 2009 map...when you click it you get one page at a time. There are arrows above the map to get you to the next page. :thumbsup2
