MNSSHP-Tips, Tricks, Secrets newbies should know (from the 2009 party!)

I just ordered my tickets for Sept 15.....sooo excited. My family and I did the party last year in Sept (can't remember think it was 8th or 9th). We had little to no waits for anything. We actually did the first parade and while the second parade was on we went on more rides multiple times without getting off.

Last year we did BBB for my daughter and my son got a Giant Mickey hat, mickey hands. He's getting to old to dress up!We had dinner at LTT at 5:00 and met all the Characters dressed up while we ate, it was great.

This year we are doing the new Pirate League for my son and daughter. I am bringing the costumes frome home .We are eating at O'hanna for dinner( nice and close to Magic Kingdom)

Anyone who hasn't don't this will love it!! There are so many oportunites to meet characters and at least when when we went there were no line-ups. I'm sure october is alot busier though.

You can also get a special photopass that is discounted for the night.:yay:

Here's the face painting DD got at the parties in 2007...

thanks for posting the face painting pics...my kids keep asking me what is offered....if anyone can get a pic of the board of offered face designs on FRIDAY I would really appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will be so excited...we very rarely let them get it done there...or we make them pay for it themselves :cutie:

I know I read this somewhere on this thread but I can't find it now. Where do they place Cindy's carriage? DD will be dressed as Cindy so I really want her to get a picture in front of the carriage. I know we need to line up early so I want to know where it is so we can plan ahead

Thank you!

Does anyone know if AP holders buying in advance get ticket discounts greater than those w/out an AP?

Call and ask. We got advance tickets with our DVC Discount. I think they were 10 bucks chearper than the "day of" price????

I just bought ours for the 4th. I hope it is not crazy busy, and not sold out, but am excited anyway. Part of me wishes we were dressing up in costumes...but there is always next year right? I will be returning home on the 8th, so I will try to give you all some updates if possible of this years party and locations. However just so you know, we did the princess and SW and the Alice trail and all of the Villians last year, so this year I am hoping for Jesse and the Tarzan group and doing some of the dance parties. My plan is to eat at LTT at 4:20 pm, probably be done there at 5:20pm ( secretely hoping for Minnie and Mickey to show up like they used to in costume) and then starting our fun adventures:)

where can I find info on what days are sold out and/or % filled? TIA~

I don't see any Fantasmic posted on Disney's site for the week of the 13th. Is this right or do you think they just haven't added all the special events yet?

TIA!

Just bought tickets for Sept. 18th, do alot of folks (adults) dress up in Sept?

I can't wait, havent been to MNSSHP since 2006! :)

we are going on the 18th too!
do the tx have your name on them? if I need to give to someone else.
I am buying for the 15th and the 18th..tiaprincess:

I got my tickets via the e-ticket route last week. I looked and there is no name on them. Only that they are for an adult 10+ or child. I don't remember even putting the names in the website for everyone in the party, just mine for the CC payment, so they don't even know who the tickets are for. HTH!
