MNSSHP Tickets on sale May 1!

I just booked tickets tonight for MNSSHP for 10/31st!! & LTT PS 5:20pm!! I'm thinking about calling tomorrow and getting tickets for the 29th too!!


Since we're arriving on the 29th for our 1st WDW family visit, I bought tickets for the 31st instead of the 29th. We aren't getting to WDW until 2pm, so we'll need time to settle in. I would like to sleep on it, and decide whether or not to purchase MNsshp tickets for the 29th as well. I made LTT PS reservations for both nights** We'll have some time to relax and head over to MK for dinner and the party.

Many people come as early as 4:00p with just their party ticket and they do not eat in a MK restaurant but get a lot of rides done from 4:00p to 6:00p and then they'll be herded over to Tomorrowland (and sometimes Fantasyland) while they clear out the park but their party wristband will get them on all those rides while they wait for 7:00p.

It's our 1st trip to WDW in Oct also

I've booked our tixs 31ST

Were staying off site on I.D so were having a lazy morning,late lunch at Race Rock or Bahama Breeze then heading over to MK at around 4pm.

So we should get a few rides in before the party starts

They should let you in. I think others have done the same in the past. You can post a thread and ask the question. Beattyfamily will probably know. I can ask her for you.

Yes, they do let you in starting around 4 p.m. Last year I had purchased 7-day hoppers and didn't want to use a day that day and it worked out fine. We got in with our MNSSHP tickets around 4 p.m. They weren't even checking if you had dinner reservations. You could just go in and enjoy the park for a while before they shut down and switched over to the party. Have a great time!

I'm assuming there will be counter service or snack stands open during the party? We're not eating dinner there to see more but I know the kids will want something to eat later that night.

I'm not sure about the counter service places. I am sure they will be serving food during the party. I am not sure what is open from 6-7. We want a sit down inside the park while they are getting things ready and we love LTT so that makes us happy!

Can someone explain to me how it works when you have a ressie for LTT or CP and MNSSHP in terms of getting into costume? Do you head back to your resort, get dress and head to dinner? What is the timing that is recommended?
And the other resturant that's open is Crystal Palace? Why does everyone chose LTT because there's characters there and not at CP?

We just wore our costumes to dinner but it was pretty hot that night and my DH ended taking his "Beauty and the Beast" costume off; he did have a t-shirt and jeans under it!

We ate at 5:15p that year.

If you want to eat at a MK restaurant before the party, I think you'll have to either wear or bring your costumes. There won't be time to head back to your room after dinner.

For MNSSHP the characters at LTT wear costumes. That is one reason. The other reason is that its the only restaurant taking PS now (when you buy your tickets) vs. waiting till 90 days out for CP, the Castle and Tonys.

You can also just eat counter service and ride the rides...but they will make you go to Tomorrowland from 6:00 to 7:00 while they clear out the park.

I've eaten at both LTT and CP for parties and they are both nice; LTT has the 'costumed character' edge over CP.

Okay, so let me see if I have this right...I can make a ressie for the Castle 90 days out for say, 5:00. If we finish dinner early what happens then? Do we have to head over to Tomorrowland too? Should I make our ressies for a little later so we'll finish up around 7?

Well, we ate at CP last year and we were done by 6:30p (PS was at 5:15p). They let us go over to Tomorrowland or we could have just waited outside CP (like if we wanted to watch the first parade or something near CP).

The year before we ate at LTT and were done by 6:40p and we could not go anywhere but wait outside LTT but while we were waiting there we got in the photo line and we were first to get our photo done!

So, I believe that if you finish from 6:30p on, you'll probably just wait in front of your restaurant. That's been my experience except for last year when they let us walk to Tomorrowland.

If I were you, I'd book between 5:00 and 5:30 and be done between 6:30 and 6:45 and you'll be all set...you won't have to be herded to Tomorrowland.

Does that make sense??

I really want to go to see the parade, people watch, etc., but DH & I are not big into dressing up in costumes. We will be there with 4 other adults, no kids. Will we look really out of place if we aren't dressed up? We were in WDW last year at Halloween, but didn't do MNSSHP, and we really enjoyed seeing the people in costume, it's just not for us.

And what time does the party start? Since we will be staying at WL, I'm thinking that we will just have dinner there and take the boat over afterwards.

No, you won't be out of place with no costume, IMHO. I didn't wear one and there were plenty of other adults who didn't either...it was great fun to people watch!

It officially starts at 7:00p but for the past few years you've been able to enter with your party tickets after 4:00p and then when the park closes at 6;00p they'll herd all party goers (with wristbands) over to Tomorrowland till the party starts!

I just called (3:30-ish. EST) and they said they couldn't sell me tickets until tomorrow because something's wrong with their computer. Should I call back and try to get another person? It sounds like some people were able to buy tickets already! I'm trying to stay calm but I have say I'm in a little bit of a panic since I thought tix didn't go on sale until the 10th!

Thank God for the DIS or I'd know NOTHING!

It could be true as they have been having lots of problems with their computer BUT it could come back today before they close tonight so if it will make you feel better (I know it would make me feel better ) I would just call back again, after waiting awhile, and see what they say.

I couldn't wait - I called back and got tix for the 20th. I didn't ask about Halloween itself but my CM Eldridge certainly didn't act like "Oh boy you're right in the nick of time!" He even asked me if I was interested in tix for Christmas but those can't be on sale yet, can they? Probably just wanted to get me excited for the next thing.

Always pays to keep calling. I'm so relieved!
