Thanks Nicola,

It looks like October 2nd, 7th or 9th for us then. DW doesn't want to go as Pirates again this year, so we've got to come up with something different - any costume ideas for two forty-somethings would be helpful!

Kaz- Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party & Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party....These are seperate ticketed events that take place once the Park has closed for normal visitors.

Thanks for the update. We have never ventured over the pond later in the year so never considered Halloween or Christmas. Are they that good? Everyone sounds very excited about these two 'specials'

You're welcome Ian :thumbsup2

As for costumes i have no idea :confused3

I've never been before and am seriously confused as to what to go as. Am i right in thinking Americans dont really try to be scary for halloween? Do people dress up as disney characters or is that not allowed incase people confuse you for staff?

Any info as to who has gone as what before would be really helpful :goodvibes

We originally scheduled this in for Oct 3rd but that's a premium date so think we are gonna re-plan for sept 30th to take advantage of the DVC discount.

kaz,
if you are over there, when one of the parties, are going on,get yourself a ticket, you wont be disappointed.i can't wait for halloween,we had a great time, when we last went, roll on oct:cool1:

Kaz,the simple answer is yes!:goodvibes I'm assuming MVMCP is just as good as MNSSHP.On top of every attraction being open, every character in fancy dress, story tellers, trick or treat stations, special fireworks,a witch instead of Tinkerbell and the piece de resistance Real Headless Horseman with real horse riding down Mainstreet at full gallop! Then if you want to be scared witless hop along to US or down to BG for Halloween Horror Nights & Howl'O' Scream:scared1: ! Seaworld also do something but I can't comment on that one as we have never been but we have the other 3 pencilled in for this year.

You're right that they don't dress-up scarily, most of the kids get dressed up for MNSSHP and between 25% and 50% of the adults - including us! The dressing up ranges from wearing an Orange Halloween 'T' shirt to full shop bought/hired fancy costumes. You get a trick or treat bag to collect lots of candy at points arround the park. There is a special parade (tip watch the 2nd parade, it's quieter and you can get on the rides whilst most people watch the parade) and 'Hallo-wishes' firework display, which is fantastic. There are some small 'discos' for the kids and most, if not all, of the rides are open and with quite small queues. We love going to this and have been for the last five years - everytime as pirates, which is why DW wants a change!
