What would you do if you were going to the Halloween Party solo? What would your must do items be? I have the opportunity to hit the party twice next week -- once by myself and once with my family and another family. It is kind of a last minute thing, the solo night add-on, so I'm not 100% sure what I want to do. What would you do that might be different than how you would tour with a group? :scratchin

I did the party solo at the beginning of the month and had a great time. One thing I enjoyed was being able to hop into whatever line I wanted without having to consult others. I did a ton of character M&Gs and even got on 7DMT twice (for 7DMT while there is just one stand-by line, close to the end they do sort out single riders to fill in the extra spaces so that saved a few minutes)

I also enjoyed being able to move at my own pace (which was fairly quick through the parks) but then if I wanted to I could stop and people watch and see the awesome costumes everyone has.

I'll be doing a solo party night next Tuesday. Looking forward to short lines and people watching. Can't wait!

Plan to do some of my favorites from when I was a kid: Tiki room, POTC, HM, IASW. I'll probably do a lot more people watching than if I were there with my family.

Rides...rides...rides...while everyone else is doing Trick or Treating w/ their kids. Darn near everything will be walk on. Then I grab myself a Dole Whip float...and find my perfect spot(s) for the parade & fireworks...then mosey up towards the castle for the villians' dance party.

Assuming your solo night is prior to the family night, that's a great opportunity to hit things that the families might not want to do...as well as scope out some of the best opportunities, see where the longest (or shortest) lines are and basically just get the lay of the land to help make the family night more efficient for everybody. I would probably go with very little agenda planned in advance, although I think I would plan to watch both parades and from very different vantage points -- maybe once toward Frontierland on one side of the street and another time closer to Main Street on the other side of the street. I'd likely also plan to do some of the more unusual M&G's with those that the families/kids might not really appreciate (Scrooge McDuck, etc.).

Great minds think alike! That's pretty much what I was thinking. I also plan to use the time to take TONS of parade and fireworks photos. Then I won't need to take as many the second night or I can try different settings! More chances to get that perfect Headless Horseman shot!

And Scrooge mc duck? Is he usually at the party? I'd love to meet him!
