MNSSHP Questions

also swiss family treehouse, tom sawyer's island, the riverboat. I imagine (but cannot confirm) that Carousel of Progress is closed too.

According to the party map that has been released online, POTC is also closed. Is it always closed during parties, or is that just because it is in rehab and it will open up later this month?

It's been closed for rehab and Is scheduled to reopen 9/25. Once it's reopened, it should be open for the parties as well.

You can absolutely transfer/sell party tickets (we moved nights around between members of our group after they had already been assigned to one person). The easiest way would be to become 'friends' through MDE with the person you are selling them to and just reassign them in MDE (you can remove them from your friends as soon as the tickets are reassigned).

You may run into problems if you have FP+ booked with the tickets for that day, so you may have to cancel those to move them.

It says right on the Disney web site that party tickets are non-transferable. Can you physically transfer them and they'll still work? Sure. But it's technically not permitted.

If you call, Disney will tell you that party tickets are transferable until the moment they've been used to enter the MK! On your MDE, you'll see that they can be reassigned to any other guest who is on your MDE or with whom you are friends.

The trick is that once you have linked a plastic ticket to yourself on your MDE, that physical card is linked to you forever, just as any of your magic bands is. So you can reassign the ticket entitlement, but not the plastic ticket it may have been issued to you on.

If you haven't linked the plastic card to the MDE, then reassigning is easy. And once reassigned, you can then link the physical ticket to whomever is going to actually use the party entitlement.

If you have already linked the plastic card, then that card is linked to you. You have to reassign the party ticket to someone who already has a magic band that they can use to access the party entitlement to enter the MK. It can definitely be tricky. Having the plastic card in hand is not all you need -- if the party entitlement has been reassigned to someone else, you will not be able to enter the parks with the plastic card that once had the party ticket on it!

You'll hear differing views on how this ticket language is interpreted, but like ScrapYap has said, Disney allows UNUSED tickets to be transferred. A 4 day ticket with one day used is non-transferable. An unused ticket is transferable.

I guess we can chalk it up to another Disney inconsistency - phone CMs says you can, web site says you can't :sad2: I know it's physically possible for party tickets (park tickets are a separate thing), though.

MDE has actually made it very easy to transfer ticket media... As long as you are friends on MDE and the ticket is unused, you can reassign with no issues. I have reassigned both 2 day park hoppers and MNSSHP tickets within the past few months.

I was referring to the terms & conditions on the screen where you actually buy the party ticket. It still says non-transferrable, so they either are inconsistent or the policy has changed and they've not updated their terms.
