This will be our first Halloween party and I have a couple questions.

What's the weather like in late October?

Do they hand out candy? Should I take a bucket or anything?

Now I need to figure out how to get my almost 6 year old to agree to wear something other than Spiderman.

There is trick or treating. In prior years, they gave everyone a small bag to hold candy. You could either use that and empty it into something bigger when it got full, or just use something else that you brought/bought.

Spiderman is a Marvel character, and Marvel is owned by Disney, so that would actually be pretty fitting. ;) I'm trying to figure out how to convince my own six year old to be something other than Frodo Baggins, LOL.

The weather can vary from hot to warm to cool (cool for Floridians, anyway). I would expect to have warm days and maybe need a light jacket at night. For the party, you won't want a very warm costume, but shorts could be a little cool at times.

There are trick-or-treat trails where you walk a path and there will be several stations along the path where a CM is handing out candy. We went last year and between the four of us, we wound up with like 13 lbs of candy. By the end of the night, the CMs were giving us each a big handful or two and once when I saw one of my favorites (peanut M&Ms) and commented on it, the CM picked out quite a few bags of them to give me. :cool1: There was a treasure chest of the Halloween Peeps just outside the gates and they were encouraging us to take as many of those as we wanted.

Not all the costumes are Disney characters. You'll definitely see Spiderman and Batman costumes, as well as Disney ones and non-specific ones like pirates, clowns, etc.

Have fun! We've been twice and have really enjoyed ourselves!

He was Spiderman last year, but there's no point to fight him! lol So costumes are ordered, just need to find something for me. Thanks for the information!
