Historically, what is open during the party? Any restaurants? Any counter service or snack kiosks? Stores? Are there any rides that *aren't* open?

Thanks! I guess we will know more for sure after next weekend when the 2006 parties get underway and people report back.

I got all of this info by subscribing to TGM.... I'd link you to it but you can't view it unless you're a member... and the men in blue suits will come put me in jail if I breech "my agreement to not share any TGM info with non-paying customers".... :rotfl:

When we last went all the stores were open as were the rides. As for the resturants we did not eat so I don't remember, so I sure would like to know the answer to that one too- counter service is probably what we will be looking for.

I asked Disney about the counter service restaurants if they would be open. Her response was "Of course!" People have to eat right?

I also know that I tried to get a ressie at LTT for 10/2 - they said not until 8:55pm, so I am assuming some if not most of the TS restaurants are open too.

This year will be our first MNSSHP too. I looked at a map from last year's party that was posted on allearsnet.com (I could not find it when I tried to get to it again recently). Anyhow, the map indicates that ust about every ride is open with just a couple of exception. IIRC, Jungle Cruise was the only "biggie" not open. Also, I have read trip reports from MNSSHP vets here and on allears that indicate most if not all CS restaurants are open. It seems as though there is a character dance party in Cosmic Ray's :confused3 . Maybe someone else can confirm. We wouldn't be interested in the TS, so I didn't pay much attention to what's available and what's not.

I posted this in another thread.\

Frontierland: SM, Country Bear Jamboree, BTMRR FOOD: Pecos Bill, Westward Ho, Turkey Leg Place.

Liberty Square: Haunted Mansion, FOOD: LTT, Sleepy Hollow

Fantasy Land: Peter Pan's Flight, Cinderella Golden Carousel, Dumbo, Philharmagic, Snow White Scary Adventures, Winnie the Pooh, Mad Tea Party, IASW FOOD: Mrs. Pott's Cupboard

Tommorowland: Tommorow Land Indy Speedway, SM, AO, BLSRS, TTA, SGA FOOD: Cosmic Ray's, Lunching Pad, Auntie Gravity's

Toontown: The Barnstormer

Hope this helps!

Is there a premium location to watch the parade? I don't want to miss the horseman.

Thank you! That is exactly what I was looking for. That gives me a good idea. I will wait to see what happens once this year's parties start, but at least now I can set my expectations.

Thanks again.

not all rides were open last year, Jungle Cruise was closed as the area was being used as a candy station

hmmm was Jungle Cruise open for others last year, when I went it was closed because they turned it into 2 candy stations
