We are planning on attending MNSSHP this year and I have a few questions .

Do they normally have the spectromagic parade during the party or is there another type of nightly parade?Isn't there one with the characters dressed in costume?

Also--are the MK (TS OR CS) restaurants typically open during the party?

And does anyone know the historical dates that are party nights?
Tickets go on sale in May right?

Thanks!

There is a special Halloween Parade that night - it is one of the not to be missed highlights. Yes, the characters are in costumes. Lot of extra villains.

The restaurants (many; maybe not all) are open during the parade. Stitch's Dance Party was at Cosmic Ray's.

It seems like they add nights each year. Starts the end of September, through October. We've been there mid-October for the last two years.

Not sure about the rest. dining but the PARADE is where it's at .

It's just for the party and all the Char. are dressed in costume and the Headless horseman starts it off. Wishes Became HollowWishes and were just great as well spooky lights on the castle and all.

Oh did I mention Trick or treating and the bags of candy we got .I'm not talking cheap stuff either good candy bars and stuff.

We will be alternating MNSSHP & MVMCP everyyear but I think the MNSSHP will end up being our FAV.

WOW, thanks! Ya'll are fast!!
I'm reading DH your replies as they come in.

Any idea how much the tickets usualy are?

After seeing all the special lights and hearing the spooky music as we past by MK on our way off the boats heading to the monorial for the last two trips--I swore I would be attending next time :teeth:

MNSSHP :thumbsup2

Also try to get an ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern! The characters are dressed up and the meal is pretty good too!

There usually isn't a MNSSHP on a Saturday unless Halloween falls on a Saturday.

Halloween Night sells out!

It's best to make it an easy day and not enter the park until at 4:00 plus that way you won't waste a days worth of ticket!

Don't miss the parade! It's awesome! and Hallowishes is just plain spectacular!

It's great fun for both the kids and adults! It's also fun to dress up!

My bf and I went to the halloween party this past year and LOVED it! We both preferred it to the christmas party. The parade is NOT to be missed!

Tooboyz4us, I hope you dont mind if I ask a question on your thread

We are doing MNSSHP this year :cool1: , we would love to eat at Ohana or WC, I know we can get in at 4pm, but do they close the gates at a specific time and reopen them at 7 pm or can we enter anytime between 4pm and 7pm, I would hate to eat dinner outside the park and then get stuck at the entrance at 7pm and waste 30 minutes trying to get in the park

Thanks for any advice

I think that they will let you in from 6 to 7 p.m., but you will be directed to a specific section of the park while the CMs are preparing for the party. We got there at 4:00 last year and we were told to go to Adventureland at 6:00.

Wait, I'm confused.... :worried:

If the party is from 7-midnight, then how can you get in at 4pm?
Won't regular park quests still be in the park at that time as well?
How do the CM's distinguish between ticketed party goers and regular MK guests?

You can get into the park on your MNSSHP ticket starting a 4 p.m., but the pary doesn't start officially until 7 p.m. They give you a wrist band at the gate. If you are already in the park, you can go get a wrist band starting at 4. Then they start heading everyone without a wrist band out the door at 6. Those still in the park, go to a special section of the park (last year it was Adventureland) until about 6:45. I hope this makes it clearer.

just like EMH, they have you wear a coloured bracelet.

I believe adults tickets were something like $38 last year. The parade is awesome as is Hallowishes. My husband and I went to MNSSHP last year just the two of us and LOVED it, we are going back this year and taking the kids too. lol

We got in at 4pm last year too and they just give you wrist bands, we didn't ever get sent to a specfic land at any time either, we must have been in the right place lol

Thanks for clearing that up for me.I understand now :thumbsup2

We had a great time there the last 2 years.

We went to MNSSHP for the first time last year. October 16, I think? It was a Sunday night. We had a wonderful time! Great candy, great picture of our family, AMAZING parade, no lines for the rides, it was really terrific. DS got tired about 10 PM even though we napped in the afternoon, but it was fun anyway!

We had an ADR at Crystal Palace at 5:10 and that worked perfect. If you are wearing costumes make sure they can be modified according to weather. It was hot, and DS was in a pirate costume with long pants and long sleeves. I still think that was part of why he got tired so early, but he didn't want to change. He had shorts and a T-shirt under his costume so it would have been very simple to toss his costume in the backpack! And wear or bring sensible shoes.

I asked the same question about entering the park. You could enter as early as 4 PM with JUST the MNSSHP ticket - it didn't cost you a day on your park pass. I was told that the gates do close from 6 PM - 7 PM so it is a good idea to be IN the park prior to 6 PM. Last year Tony's Town Square and LTT took ADRs when they started selling the MNSSHP tickets. (That was when ADRs were 90 days out, so you could make those earlier than 90 days.) I had to wait until 90 days out for Crystal Palace, but we really like it there. I don't know which CS places were open.

jackskellingtonsgirl - A question about eating at CP. Were the Pooh characters in costume for your meal as well? I would rather eat there than LTT (although really, either would be fine). Did you get one of the last seatings, or do you remember how late the seatings were that they offered?

Thanks for any information!

I think it's all released in April.

Anyone have any idea's as to what the dates might be this year? Do they historically tend to use the same days of the week each year?

Try this site, it has the days listed. Not sure if the days are set in stone but it will give you an idea. You have to scroll down. http://www.touringplans.com/BestDays.htm
We can't go this year because we already have an August trip and a December(MVMCP) trip booked but we will be going Oct 2007 to our first MNSSHP.
