Hi,
Just got back from my vacation at WDW on 11/7. We went from 10/30-11/7 specifically for the Halloween Party event on the 31st. As pin collectors, we were very excited about getting the event pin. However, we were completely shut out. All the pins had been released before Halloween and we never even had a chance. This did not seem fair as we purchased tickets to the party in order to get the pin. I really think Disney should hold back enough pins in order for the party ticket holders to get one. :(

I have to agree with you. I was at the party on Sunday the 28th, and there were no pins available for that night either. So they sold out some time before then. Now it wasn't the only reason I went and I had a wonderful time, but I really would have liked that pin!

We attended the MNSSHP last year and there was not a specific pin for the party itself. I was under the impression that only MVMCP had specific pins available during the party.

There was this year. It was a headless horseman slider pin. I've seen pictures of it in several places. I even talked to a CM in the MK about it the day before the party.

This pin was a tough one to get, we went to the party on the 26, we were told earlier in the day by a cm at epcot that it would only be available at the Emporium and only during the party, we arived at 7 went straight to the store and got our 2 pins the line was very long. The cms at the store told us that only 500 were sold each night of the party. It seemed like not very many cms knew about the pin or where it was sold, we talked to alot of people who were looking for it and were given misinformation as to where and when you could buy it. Sorry you missed out, hope you were able to get one of the other halloween pins available.

We went to the "Not So Scary" on 10/22 and got in the pin line as soon as we entered the park. The line went pretty quick, but after the initial line was gone, you could walk right up to any register and get your two pins.

My friend tried to buy some pins at about 9:45 that night and was told by the CM, "They are all gone. We had 3500 to sell, we sold them Thursday night (that would have been 10/18) and tonite, and now they are all gone".

I was curious to see if that was true. I saw on this board that they were again sold on 10/26, but apparently, that was the last night they were still available.

If I had bought tickets, and then they were out of the special pin, I would be angry and disappointed too. And it's my wife who collects pins!

Seems like Disney "Merchandise" and "Special Events" aren't on the same page... or they just don't understand Disney collectors!

I was there for the 10/28 party and no pin. We heard that they sold out on the 26th. We and many of our friends were not happpy. We, too, had heard that there would be an allocated amount sold for each party. We would have wanted the same opportunity to purchase as our earlier party goers. I had to trade for this one. It was not too difficult to trade for. I traded one of the patriotic Mickey pins from a wonderful downtown disney trader. But afterall, that's why I buy extras.
