We were planning to be in MK on the 31st any way so is it worth paying extra to stay at night as well or are we better off going to the BQ at FW my 2 DD,s 7&9 love dancing and i know they would join in and enjoy it,then on the other had they would like to go on the rides in the dark:rolleyes:

Anybody who has been to both or either please help

Hi

I've only done MNSSHP and we all loved it and are planning on doing it again this year.
My DS was 7 when he was there and had a great time on the rides etc in the dark. My DD's were 14 and 16 and enjoyed it - especially 'Splash Mountain' in the dark.

I was disappointed with MNSSHP, although I suspect I'm in a tiny minority. The park was crowded, the lines for 'trick or treat' were a scrum - I would have happily passed them by, but I spent most of the evening waiting whilst others in my party queued for cheap kids sweets  I felt we'd just been charged extra for being at the (very busy) park during the evening - perhaps I'm just getting old and cynical. Strangely, I did enjoy MVMCP when we did that, which is effectively the same thing.

It's years since we did the Backyard BBQ. Our girls were 7 & 5 (they're 19 and 16 now) and they loved it. There was a lot of character interaction - we've got quite a bit of video footage of our two dancing with them. It's also a good opportunity for them to mix with other children. There were a lot of British parties there (we were on an excursion organised by Airtours) and, thinking about it now, it did have a bit of a 'holiday camp' thing going on. I really am getting old and cynical, arent I?

On the other hand we did the BBQ a few years ago and thought it was a waste of money. My kids were bored (aged 4 and 7). The food was plentiful, but very meat oriented, and the character interaction was Ok. I was very disappointed to be with so many British tourists - we felt like we were at Butlins.

We tried to leave early but had to wait nearly half an hour for a bus back to the car park.

But it was a few years ago so it might have improved.

We went to MNSSHP last year and thought it was great... not because of the free sweets, but virtualy no ques.
We went on the 26th and although it looked crowded, we did every ride we wanted to from about 8-11.30. There was absolutley no quing except for splash mountain (which broke down and took 5 mins to fix)

Thanks All:tongue:

As were going to be there at the time of Halloween:crazy: we may as well take advantage of that and try the MNSSHP.

Thanks for your replys:earsgirl:
