I am not sure what to do here. We will be at Ft. Wilderness from Oct. 7-14. We are staying a Ft. Wilderness to get the Disney experience, but primarily going to be spending the week doing other Orlando area attractions. We are planning to spend One day in the Magic Kingdom, so my question is.... Should we plan on a regular full day at the Magic Kingdom, or should we go to MNSSHP? We have never been to MNSSHP before and would plan on going on Tuesday Oct. 11. I don't think we can afford to do both. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance for you help

If I had to choose only one I would the MNSSHP. You get to ride the rides plus the parades, special fireworks, storytelling, & the trick or treating.

Agree - we will be there for the 11th too! Don't know if we even plan on going to MK again during the rest of the trip!

have you been to MK before? The reason I ask is that the party is only a few hours, 5 I think which is not equal to a "whole day" at MK but if you work at it you could ride all of the rides, but still a regular day at MK is differnet than the MNSSHO (which I think is great by the way)

I would do MNSSHP. We went last year for the first time and loved it. We planned on going again this year!!!

Last year, we were able to do everything we wanted to do at the MK during MNSSHP. The lines were short, short, short and we had a blast. Granted, you loose Wishes, Spectro and Share a Dream, but since we had seen them, it wasn't a problem for us - especially since the Halloween parade and fireworks are so cool. If money's an concern, it's less expensive to buy the MNSSHP ticket than a one-day one park pass. (at least it was last year).

Another vote for MNSSHP. I would get there as early as possible though. They usually start letting people in with party tickets about 4pm.

You'll have a great time whichever you choose though! :flower:

Another vote for MNSSHP. :cool1:
This only applies if you have already have had plenty of experience with MK. It is a limited amount of time and the evening flies by. My DW and I did do a bunch of rides and saw the parade and fireworks, plus hit all the Trick or Treat stations. What a blast. But there were some things there was no time for but we knew we would be coming back in a few days for a "normal" touring day at MK. You will definitely have a blast either way!

I'm going to say if you haven't been to MK before, or only been once, do a full day at MK on a non-MNSSHP day, and try to pick a EMH evening. There is SO much to do and see at MK, that you will miss a lot of it if you limit yourself to the few hours of MNSSHP. You will still get to see a parade (or two, if Spectro is that night) and fireworks- just not the Halloween theme ones. You will also have a lot more time to ride the rides, stroll around, etc.

If, however, you have been to MK more than one or two times, feel free to enjoy MNSSHP- it will be fun to see the MK all "dressed up" for Halloween, and watch the special parade and do all the other special stuff.

But if this is a once-in-a-lifetime visit, I'd go with the regular MK. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo
