MNSSHP on 1st night?

Need some advice here...we are arriving on 10/27 at 2:00 (air), check in at Villa is 3:00 do you think that going to MNSSHP that night at 7 would be too much for my kids ages 4 and 7? I think that it will work well because we won't have to use a full day on our tickets just for that first evening and I thought a Thursday night would be a better way to go than a weekend night (crowd level)? What do you all think?

I think you are right! But what time will the kids be getting up that morning for the flight out? If they sleep on the plane, that might not matter. We went to MNSSHP in Oct '03 and we wish we would have saved the Park Hopper day and gone to DTD or resort hopping during the day, then MK that night just for the party. It seems like a great way to start your trip to me!!!

Your plan sounds like a good one. I would have the kids rest/watch TV in the room for some relaxation time to recharge before the evening events.
