MNSSHP October 5th Thursday--Are you going??

I wasn't thinking about the locals....You're right, which will be great for us vacationers
Unfortunately for me, we're going to Halloween Horror Nights the next night, Friday, and that means the Locals will be attending that night since, like you said, they don't have work/school the next day

HOWEVER our meeting spot may have gotten BOTCHED! i hear they are turning tomorrowland noodle terrace into a BUFFET RESTAURANT?!?!?! so we have to come up with a new meet place!

i'll be at hhn the following friday, sat and sun also.
hhn is not as bad on the second weekend.
it will have crowds but not sell outs that weekend.

the big crowds will begin on wed/thur of the following week after columbus day. school out at the end of that week. that is the time i avoid.

Hi DMM!!! Check this news out that I read on "another site":

The Tomorrowland Noodle Station is serving a buffet dinner from 5:00pm - 9:00pm nightly until the end of September 2006.

Soooo... if it's only running til the end of Sept, we're still ok on Oct 5th!!!

I've been thinking about that too! it needs to be a place where a group of people can congregate and still see the works! and some place easy to find.

the past 2 years the fw have started about 9:15.

I'm also thinking that it won't be a restaurant operating on a MNSSHP, since only some places are open for that anyways...soooo if it does extend to October and we can't get under a rope we should come up with another MEET spot just in case!

I'm not sure how many people want to meet with us, b/c if it's a small group we can always get together by the castle somewhere? but i think everyone uses the castle as a meeting spot

it is a trial run for the buffet at tomorrow land terrace.
we won't know until the date gets closer if that buffet will continue past sept 30.

it is STILL a good spot to meet. the majority of that seating is to the right and in front of the counter area. the side to the left that has tables is not covered.
the area closer to main street on the sidewalk does have ample room to meet at.
the garden below that area is the smoking area but many people sit there for fw all the time.

i think it is still a good spot to meet.

there is another group of people meeting over by dumbo.
that is not a good area as you do not get the full picture of hollowishes then.
you miss out on the screen pics shown on the castle then.

i always meet around caseys or the plaza and when my group is together, we move up by the statue and sit on the concrete there. that is what i have done in years past. it worked for a group of 15 easily back then.

i say go with michelle's plan and a back up plan could be the rose garden or smokers garden area to meet and then move up to main street from there.

in all the years i have used that first garden area, i have only seen 2 smokers there. it is a very large area with tables and umbrellas.
i guess not many go there as you have stairs to walk down if you come from the back way. coming from main street, it is behind the vendor stand and before the bridge going towards the castle.

last year during the free dining promo, disney opened up a mexican buffet across from POC.

so many places were full and no walk ins at resturants.
disney created a temporary buffet for those to use the TS credits.

i believe this is what is happening again for part of september.
so many resturants are full now and many can not get adrs.
the ones on the dining plan have been writing to disney over this aggravation.

disney has openend up for a limited time another temp TS set up at tomorrowland terrace.

i don't believe that TT will stay open past sept 30.
maybe they plan to reopen the mexican resturant buffet after that if patrons are still complaining on no where to use the TS. credits. just a thought

how many people are we talking about meeting michelle?
if it is 15 to 20 we can gather by the first aid/well baby care behind crystal palace. there are places there to sit to wait for others.

then we could stay there or move up closer to the castle by the statue and sit on the ground/concret area/pavement area

i think we will STAY right now at the ORIGINAL meet point of Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace and just look for the DIS sign. I'm in the process of looking for a DOWEL (skinny long stick) to put a Mickey Antennae topper on so that i can put the sign on that and we can easily be spotted!!


AS A BACK UP PLAN in case the restaurant is open still, we will meet at the WELL by the BABY CARE CENTER near CASEYS, i like that idea!!

We're not going on Friday anymore(we're going to Halloween Horror Nights on Friday)
So we'll be joining everyone on Thursday Night...
I would love to take some time out of our merriment to meet my fellow DIS'ers!

BTW, I think I'm going as a pirate again (sigh) 'cause I don't have enough time to make a costume. So me and DH are Pirates and Not sure about the kids...
