MNSSHP: No FREE Photo

If They Don't Close The Park How Will They Put Out The Halloween Decorations. Unlike The Christmas Party The Halloween Decorations Do Not Stay Out All Day, They Put Them Out During The Hour That They Are Closed.

i read on another site that the 7pm close is real... true... official... that means if someone did not have a ticket they could either get a late LTT or CP ressie and exit in time to see the first parade and probably keep a low profile enough to stick around for the fireworks too... imo that STINKS!

Yeah i have the same info as the above poster. On another site that shall remain nameless, (but you all know it) they called a very high ranking official that they had connections with and they confirmed that the 7 PM close is real. They no longer close the parks to decorate, they just start early in the day in front of guests.

No one has confirmed whether the day guests will be aloowed to stay but i think it is a distinct possibility.
I already have my tix too. GRRRR

i'll have to give them a call, b/c then this is just all too much..they are taking away soo much for the people that are paying :( it's not even worth it anymore.

Let's all hope that this is just a rumor!! ::yes::

I look forward to seeing if anyone gets a clear response back from WDW for those that sent emails.

I just called and spoke with a CM. I asked if there were any changes to MNSSHP and MVMCP. He checked and said no. I then explained the concerns about the free photo no longer being offered and that guests would be allowed to stay in the park for the parade and fireworks without a wristband. The CM I spoke with called guest relations and they stated that this is just a rumor. He then checked with his supervisor who indicated the same thing. THIS IS JUST A RUMOR!!!! Folks may be confusing the photo pass with the free photo. The photo pass will be handled from home with a 50% discount. The CM commented that if Disney allowed people to stay in the parks without a wristbands they would not be selling any tickets. And then I got laughed at.

once again i have spoken to CM yesterday and 1 more today, the FREE photos are no longer available, but i forgot to ask about the park closing time! i will have to call again tomorrow!!! DH laughs at me cause i am calling all the time.

I agree the photo is not the deal breaker, bit boy will i be mad if i just shelled out $$$ for tix and others are there without them!

I have not purchased my tickets yet, I am really unsure what to do :confused3 We were all looking forward to going again this year. But if this is all true, I just do not think it is worth it. I will keep checking to see what you all find out!

I think it's really weird that Disney would do the decorating in front of the guests...this seems very un-Disney-like. It would definately take away from the paying day guests experience. I know there's plenty of people that are against halloween, yet even though they chose not to buy a ticket to MNSSHP, they will still have their children exposed to halloween...they will be angry...and it's been my experience that they are a loud minority.

I don't care about the photo myself, but since I bought a ticket...I want them all OUT!! :cool1:

When I called and asked about the free photo the cm began telling me that the photo is available on line and in a photo pass form. That is when we began discussing the free photo. He then pulled out a sheet and began reading what it all said about MNSSHP. He also had a sheet which discussed the photo pass. The sheet he had for MNSSHP mentioned the free photo. He then called Guest services and was informed that NOTHING has changed since last year. He said it appears that folks are confusing the photo pass and photo for the special event. When folks call they mention the photos and it is assumed they are talking about the photo pass. I asked about the time the park closes and opens for MNSSHP. He indicated that his info and the supervisors info said the park closes at 6:00 p.m. and opens at 7:00 p.m. HOWEVER: Guests with tickets to the MNSSHP are allowed to stay in the park after 6:00 p.m. This may be were the confusing is beginning on this time ordeal.

No offense to anyone who is calling CRO, but i have to believe that TGM has better connections and info then CM's at CRO. They have been SO misinformed before that they dont seem particulary credible to me.
and according to the same source they are doing lots of things in front of guests now that they never used to - painting, minor repars, etc. They have also begun decorating for MNSSHP 2 to 3 hours before the party even last year. Face it, Disney no longer jumps through hoops to show guests magic. They are making us jump through hoops to get it. A bad sign of things to come me thinks.

Along the same lines- Remember when the Christmas decorations would magically appear and then magically disappear after the holidays? I miss that, I always thought it was so cool.

I was going to buy tickets for Oct 2, but now I'm wondering if I should even bother. I've never been to MNSSHP and was really looking forward to it.

No free photo and they aren't making non-ticket holders leave the park before the party. I'm beginning to regret these tickets a little bit.

I 100% agree.....DH and I bought tickets to MNSSHP thinking it would be a fun event with lots of perks....free picture and less crowded since it's a "hard ticket event".......I really hope we don't end up regretting our decision to go....... :confused3

i was at MNSSHP last year and do not recall them decorating early AT ALL! and we got there at 2pm since we wanted some regular time in MK too :)

I spoke with someone at Disney who told me that if someone does not have a wrist band - they will be escorted out.
I hope this is true.
Too bad about the free photos - I was looking forward to that.

i doubt they will escort them out. They will probably say hey you don't have a wristband, you need to leave the park.

i'm getting really bummed that i spent the $$ on these tickets! As i'm sure there are people who are already thinking....heyyy let's go to MNSSHp and not pay for the tix. :sad2:

I wish they would still offer the picture, even if we had to pay for it.

Wanted to add we went to the MNNSHP last Oct and they didn't decorate till around 7, and that is because that's when the party is suppose to start. They let us in with the ticket around 4:30. WHen the party started they checked to see if we had our wristbands, before letting on the rides. However I can't see cm walking around telling people to leave, if they don't have one. I'm sure they would perfer letting those people stay to continue to buy food, etc,. However I do remember having a hard time getting a good spot for both parades they offer during the party. But the rides were fast to get on, so maybe the excess people were people just hanging out!
Have to say as much as we enjoyed the cmas party, the halloween was worth the price to see the fireworks! That's another reason I hope/wish they would escort those that didn't pay for the party, so they wouldn't enjoy it.

I'd like to see some of the responses folks are getting from these e-mails. Please post when you hear back.

We have our tickets for Oct 10th... oh, and I checked the hours of operation at MK that day, it has the park closing at 7pm...

Well i just got off the phone after calling 2 different times (you know Disney!!) and have been informed both times that there is no longer a free photo included at MNSSHP :(

I am totally bummed!

Wow.....I totally missed this one. I cannot believe they are no longer offering the free picture. It is extremely dissapointing. I am going to e-mail them and complain. With this news and the news about the park closing at 7:00 p.m., I am extremely upset about the way MNSSHP is being handled.

Thanks for the information.
