MNSSHP: No FREE Photo

I,m wondering the same thing. If that is the case then why keep the tickets, just get our money back and enjoy the night for free.

I'm confused....are you saying that people who do not have tickets are allowed to stay in the park, during the party? :confused3

Apparently they are. They aren't closing the park until 7, when the party starts. They used to close at six to get non ticket holders out. Now they aren't going to do that. They won't be able to ride the attractions but it's not about the rides. Now we have to fight for a space to see the parades and fireworks with people who didn't pay for tickets to the party. I have no idea how they are going to handle trick or treating. Looks as though they are doing the same for MVMCP too.

They were talking about it on the WDW Today podcast this week. They couldn't believe they were going to do that and thought it was just a typo on the web site. So they called a source and were told it wasn't a typo. They aren't clearing the park. They'll make an announcement and ask people to leave. That's it. But why would anyone leave when they can see the parades and fireworks and characters for free?

Well, if they are truly not going to make day guests that didn't buy tickets leave the park before the official start of the party then I think we all need to complain big time. Let them know how we feel. If this IS the case this year, it will be the last time I ever buy a ticket to MNSSHP/MVMCP. They can't take away perks like pictures, raise the price AND let non-party ticket holders stay. :sad2:

Anyone have the Disney Guest Relations/Customer Service email address handy??

:furious: :furious: Ooooo, I am so mad! Things like this make me want to rethink this party. We had such good time two years ago and now to find all these changes. I can echo previous posters thoughts, the park will stay packed. Having done evening EMH I can attest to the fact that the parks don't clear out just by saying" time to leave". :furious: :furious: Why call this a hard ticketed event if eveyone can see the parade and fireworks? I see nothing special about it anymore. :(

I keep hoping someone will come to their senses at WDW and forget this idea. I'm not going until the 19th of October. I'll be very interested to hear how it goes at the parties ahead of that.

Like I said in the other thread discussing this, we should all email or call Disney and let them know how we feel about not only no photo with a price increase to boot, but also that they 'may' not be requiring the day guests to leave.

I'm still on the hunt for Disney's customer service email address. :(

I totally agree. What a ridiculous idea on the part of Disney. If this is true, what's the point of buying a ticket!?!

I keep reading this and wiping my eyes in disbelief.

in the past years, we'd show up about 4:00 and get our wristbands and trick or treat bags. at 6:00, you'd head over to whichever land was specified and they cleared out the park while you hit the attractions in that land. at 7:00, they opened the rest of the park up and it was essentially, dead. they walked the parked and forced everyone without a wristband to leave.

they're honestly not going to do that this year? I'm in a mild form of shock right now.

WHAT???!!!! Non party ticket buyers can stay in the park? Are they kidding? I just bought tickets the other day and now I am really regretting it. I hope it is a mix up. Who do we call to find out??

We haven't bought our tickets yet......I'm really rethinking this. If we can just stay in the park, watch the parade, enjoy the 'atmosphere', trick or treat and not pay the extra money, then why would we? I have sent Disney off an email questioning this. Hopefully they will shed some light on it. Man, no free photo, everyone gets to enjoy for zip.....what's next?

let us know what the reply is, please. I need to relax a little before I call the passholder line to complain.

Absolutely will let you all know. I'll have to remember to do the passholder line also. This is just beyond belief. Here's hoping that someone just misunderstood!!

guest.mail@disneyonline.com

its the one on the email I got yesterday.

:sad2: This is really ridiculous if it's true. No picture.....I can live with that but it is sad..... non-paying party guests get to stay....that is NOT ok.

Sent off my email as well. Let you know if I hear anything.

I also just sent an e-mail:

I have tickets to both of these events this year. I look at the park hours however and you have park closing at 7:00pm. The same time as the party starts. I would like to know how and when you are going to clear that park of non-ticketholders? If you do not intend to clear the park then please let me (and everyone else who paid a lot of money for these tickets) know where we can return our tickets for a full refund.
Needless to say they are worthless if you do not clear the park. None of us want to have to fight the non-ticket holders for spaces to watch the parades and fireworks or any of the other events. Simply not letting them on attractions isn’t good enough. How can we ride any attractions if we have to stake out spots two hours ahead in order to not be behind non-ticket holders?

Please clarify this issue as it is both confusing and distressing to those of us planning to attend these events.

WHAAAAAT? you mean to tell me i paid almost 120 bucks for 3 tickets to MNSSHP (our first time) and now anyone can stay and not pay? what a GYP!! ohhhh i'm hoppin' mad about this one! i'm sending an e-mail to disney as well!
