Hi, we will be in Disney early October this year. We haven't been to MNSSHP before and are wondering if it's worth the extra ticket price. I read online that the event starts at 4 pm , If we decide to purchase tickets can we only enter MK at 4pm or later? We already have a reservation for BOG at 1:50, on the day we are considering so we'd already be in the park. Not sure how that works?
Also, is during MNSSHP the only time to see the Halloween themed fireworks and parades?
Thanks!

MNSSHP stats at 7:00 pm, but you can get in as early as 4:00 pm with your ticket. If you have a 1:50 pm reservation at BOG you would need to use a regular ticket day in addition to the MNSSHP ticket. And to answer your other question, the only time you can see the Halloween parade and fireworks is during MNSSHP, they don't ever run it any other time.

As far as whether it's worth it or not-- depends. Do you and your family enjoy Halloween/dressing up/trick-or-treating? If so, then I would say yes, definitely, as it is a lot of fun and the party has a unique atmosphere you won't see any other day, and the parade and fireworks are IMO the best the Magic Kingdom has to offer. If your group really isn't big on Halloween then I would say no. We love it and it's our favorite event at WDW!

Yes to the parade.

We love their Halloween party.

1. The parade is pretty cool.
2. We get to run around mk in costumes as adults
3. Limited characters that you don't see durning normal times
4. Trick or treating in mk
5. Dance party

The above is why we love the Halloween party at mk, if you can afford it and want to try it do it.

We love the parades and fireworks! So think we may try it! So it sounds like I should probably try to move our BOG res. to a non MNSSHP party day as not to use a regular ticket up as well as using a MNSSHP party ticket in same day? Is that correct?

Yes, that's what we prefer to do. Usually our morning before an MNSSHP is a low-key morning so that we can save energy for the party and make it all the way to midnight. We may not even do a park-- maybe do a character meal at a resort, or go to Downtown Disney for a couple of hours. That gives us plenty of time to get ready for the party and get to the Magic Kingdom at 4:00 pm. We prefer not to do ADRs on party nights-- we usually have a quick-service meal somewhere in the park before the party starts, and then get in line early for our first character meet.
