Last night, I went to MNSSHP for the first time. Oh man, what an incredible night- I loved it!! I went with my boyfriend Chris and our friend Teresa. Teresa was dressed as a goddess, Chris had a Patriots football jersey (we made him buy a funny hat too) and I was Alice in Wonderland. (We've gotta do corresponding costumes next year.) There were so many great costumes- the highlight had to be the trio dressed as the hitchhiking ghosts from the Haunted Mansion! We asked them to pose for a picture for us and they did the whole thumbing for a ride thing. Too funny! Besides the plithora of princesses, we saw Hogwarts girls, a couple of Harry Potters, a Flintstone family, a Peter pan family, another older Alice, Lucille Ball, donkey bride and groom, variations on Cruella, families of dalmations, and more. Everyone kept looking at each other and pointing. hehehe

Although I was disappointed we missed the storytelling stuff, we hit every trick or treat station (it was funny to see the reactions of people I knew from work), had lots of character interactions, and caught the parade (wonderful!) and fireworks. People loved my costume! I had a guy ask me directions thinking I was the real Alice. I'd have to say that the highlight of the whole evening was actually running into the real Alice.:sunny: She was dancing along our side of the parade route and spotted me. We posed for a picture, and then she handed me her masquerade mask and let me skip around with it for a moment!:Pinkbounc
I've always wanted to wear a costume while playing at WDW!! I had so much fun I didn't want the night to end despite tired feet. Ever get feelings of immense saddness when something so terrific comes to an end? I almost wanted to cry when I got home.

I am going to MNSSHP on 10/26 and that message has me all excited! I am going as the Queen of Hearts and I can't wait! I have two 256mb flash cards for my camera and I think I need more! I am going to take SO MANY pictures! I don't know how I'm going to be in any of them, I'm not letting my DH touch the camera ;)

8 Days left! I'm in single digits!

Thakns for the pick-me-up!

:hyper: We will be there on Halloween night!! EEK! I know it will be a wild night and very busy, but we are all ready and are just going to soak it all in.....

My DD picked out the Lilo costume from the Disney store and so BF and I decided to join in on the theme.:p So I am Noni and he is David and we are going to deck out in our Hawaiian garb complete with Lei's and a flower in my hair. I have the cutes sarong outfit to wear.:teeth: I just hope it is warm that night so I won't be too cold;)

I have been to the Christmas part, but never the Halloween. Thanks for the uplifting report!:wave2:

Sounds great Angie - we will also be there on the 26th. Very excited.

Where are you working now?? - would love to meet you while we are visiting.

Melinda

I'm still working Aladdin's carpets and Tiki Room. (I was actually scheduled to work the not so scary party I attended, but thankfully, I got someone to take my shift.) Next week is my last at MK though. Starting the 26th, I begin training for my new fulltime position at AK- either Camp Minnie Mickey or Discovery Island.

We were there on the 10th: parade is INCREDIBLE! Also you must visit the storyteller who tells "sleepy hollow" and unless you want to see brer bear & brer rabbit u can skip riverboat

Dylansdad,

Where do you find the "Sleepy Hollow" storyteller?:hyper: I don't want to miss that. My DD loves the headless horseman and that story...... We can not wait to see him run his horse down Mainstreet USA!!:hyper: :hyper:

Any Jack Skellington themes stuff around the party!! We love him too??

Thanks,

Thank you and every one going have a great time!!!:wave2:

Hi all. We went to MNSSHP last Friday the 10th and it was an absolute blast. I'm still recovering from a fabulous 10 days so haven't posted yet on all our fun, just wanted to say we climbed up on the wooden platform for those stockade thingies almost across from Liberty Tree Tavern. It was perfect. The storyteller stood right in front of us on the turn by the bell and then the headless horseman/parade came straight at us across the bridge. It was all so excellent!! I wish I could do another party this Friday!

I knew you would enjoy it. :) Now you have to post those pics of you as Alice. :) I will be going to MNSSHP on 10/31. See you there.

Thanks fir sharing glad you had a wonderful time.::yes:: :wave2: :goodvibes :wizard:

storyteller was in the liberty bell area kinda in front of HOP

We are going on 10/31 too!!! I'm hoping this is the first Halloween I don't have to dress in layers. Since DS has been born (10) we've had 2 snowy Halloweens!!! I'm leavin the boots behind:D !! I love reading everyone's reports, it's helping to really build the excitement!! It's so close but so far still!!!:Pinkbounc

Here are a couple of the from the Party on Oct. 10th...Make sure you don't miss the parade!

This one shows one of the hot air balloons..there was a few hanging around the park...you will have to go to see the other style as I don't want to spoil all the surprizes.

This is the pic of the Riverboat:

BUT if you want a real halloween thrill try "Halloween Horror Night" at IOA!!!
It will blow you away...but a warning...it's rated PG-13

lorilori,

I was wondering about a good place to watch the Halloween parade??:hyper: I know that the Main street area can be so crowded and we want to be able to see a good view of the headless horseman!!

Thanks for the tip!::MinnieMo

Thanks for the report

Congrats on the full time job over at AK. I know you love MK, but I think AK is awesome so I bet you will enjoy that too.

Hi again. We watched the parade from the same place, those stockade things on the wooden platform across from the Bell. It's a really great place because it's on the turn so you get to see the Headless Horseman and the parade coming straight at you and then slowing and turning right in front of you. We watched the 2nd parade here and got our spot probably 30 minutes before time. Plus that's where the storyteller stands, actually not stands but moves around quite a bit and tells the story. Excellent!
