MNSSHP - Hints and Tips

Tuesday the 27th.....we thought mid week would be quieter....how wrong we were

Funnily enough we did the 27th and other than the line for the Seven Dwarves didn't find it too bad at all. We did just about all the candy stations, It's A Small World, PeopleMover and Big Thunder as walk-ons, plus Haunted Mansion and Pirates with just a couple of minutes wait. The only thing that did disappoint me was that we watched Hallowishes from the hub and by the time we got round to our favourite spot for the parades we couldn't get a front row view for the second Boo To You parade and all my photos came out rubbish.

I must have been following the crowd around....:rotfl:.....we did do Haunted mansion but had to wait 30mins......we are not a family who normaly waits this long..:rotfl:

When we went in 2009 we walked on everything....found a spot for the second parade, front row in main street 10mins before it started....this year we had to find a spot straight after the fireworks and sat and waited......like I say, we are not a family who likes to wait that long:rotfl:

I am leaning towards the Sunday now, it works better for our plans, would like to do Busch on the Wednesday but not if we have a late night at MNSSHP on the Tuesday.

 We don't normally wait long for anything either, except for parades and Illuminations. :goodvibes

If you can bear with me to recover from the return to the dark gloomy weather and the wrong time zone, I can post some :goodvibes

did you get any pictures of the dead waltzers in the parade?
my best friend's daughter is one of the dancers!!
there's a youtube video of them dancing and i can't figure out which one she is - that's how good the makeup is!!

I did. They are amongst my favorites!! One even saw me with the camera and posed right in front for a close up! Give me a moment to do the PHotobucket thing and I will post them. They are fab!!

These were taken at the first party we went to (the busy one) but I could well have taken more at the second party too. If I find any more I will forward them to you so you can try have a closer look to see if you can recognise your friend's DD :goodvibes

I do have several more from this night but I think they are all the same two girls who happened to be playing up to lenses on our side of the street.

their makeup is sooooooooo good!!!

DD said that the dead waltzers were really scary/spooky when she saw the parade..

my friend's daughter is the brunette....i think there are 3 blondes (or light colored) and one brunette.....

i guess that must be her in the background of the top picture..

she has a picture of the 8 of them posing (4 guys/4 girls) on her facebook....the waltzer who posed for you is in her facebook picture....

it's so funny because she so doesn't look anything like herself, i couldn't even recognize her in her facebook picture (she's chinese descent, so you'd think i'd be able to figure out who she is, but the makeup is an amazing disguise!!!)...

thanks so much for posting the pictures!!!!!

No problem :goodvibes I will see if I got any of the brunette in the other parade. She was on the other side of the street to us as they passed by and they are pretty good at making sure they pay attention to both sides of the audience. I'll keep you posted. :)

Getting back on track with tips and tricks:

Trick or Treat lines:

Don't be misled by apparently long lines. They are walk through and you keep moving so a long line will take you a minute or two to get through. Also we don't seek out the trick or treat trails, as in we don't go out of our way to get to them. Get candy as you go along. We collect whenever we pass one. If we have done everything we wanted to by the last half hour or so of the party then we go through the lines again, which are much quieter at the end of the evening

DD told me that at the end, the CMs started dumping everything into her trick or treat bag - apparently they have to get rid of everything before the end of the party...
she said they took handfuls and handfuls at the end and dumped it into her bag.....and of course, being who she is, she didn't eat any and brought it all home to us!!    (i probably would have finished it the same night)..

thanks for the other dead waltzers.....she must be one of those two....but it's so hard to tell...
now i understand why her own mother said she was unable to identify which one she is in the youtube clip on the internet!!!

i think my friend is in orlando now and since katie said her mom HAS to go to all 3 parties while she's there, i'm guessing there will be lots of shots...we'll see if i can identify her there....but even in her posed facebook picture, i'm not able to recognize her...that make up is really good.....it makes her look so old...she's only 22...(and about to go to medical school!!!)

We found that to be true last year. In fact at two of the trails last year just before midnights CMs had already filled bags to the top and gave them to Tove - FULL

However the first party we went to this year we saw that they had run out (it was busy) and there was nothing at the exit as there usually is, but the Sunday night party was much quieter and they were doling it out in large quantities at the end again.

I thought the Waltzers were wearing wigs so wasn't sure if hair color alone was enough to go by :confused3

Beth, any of these look like your friend's DD?

i looked at the picture she has on her facebook page and now i'm sure - she's the one closest to the camera in this picture...
it's funny how the makeup makes her look older - she has those black lines drawn no her forehead to look like wrinkles..
and she's definitely wearing a wig here.....she has silky straight dark hair...

in any case, i think it's her....maybe... :)
