Well this is my second try at a Pre-Trip Report. Sit back, relax and get your coffee.
We are heading off to the World in about a week now and I'm suffering from a strong case of Pre-Disney Jitters. I'm a planner by nature so I'm trying to get schedules all worked out ahead of time, from planning ADR to Park plans. My hubby is so laid back he's more of a go with the flow type of guy and here I am stressing out!
Anyway, please bear with me as I go through this laborious process of trying to find my way around the DIS boards. I'm a complete noob so we should just dive in and get started. With the Poly BMG Loop on my Ipod running right now, I can just see and hear and smell the Poly yet again. Only 10 more days to go! Woot!
Cast of Characters: My name is Christine and this is my DH Brandon
We are huge Disney fans, we even met at Disneyland in 1999, and got married at Disneyland in 2000. Our Disney wedding was everything that we could have hoped for. We also had our Disneymoon at WDW that same year, we had to put it off until Sept. 2000. But we had a great time.
Plans:
When: Sept. 20-Sept. 27th, 2009
Where: Polynesian Resort
Day 1: MK
Day 2: Epcot
Day 3: DHS
Day 4: AK
Day 5: MNSSHP!
Day 6: Free Day! and FUD AND WHINE FESTIVAL! God, our stomachs! How can we find more room!???
Day 7: Back Home
Now onto our ADR. That being said that I was crazy and didn't make my ressies until about 30 days out, instead of the 90+10 like I should have. But with online dining reservations in the system I was able, with a little bit of tweaking, able to get most of what we wanted. So if you are having trouble with your ADR, don't despair! Just keep trying, calling back, and checking online. It can be done, with a little finesse. We may have gotten later times for dinner than we wanted but at least we got something!
ADR:
Arrival Day: Ohana at Poly
Day 1: Liberty Tree Tavern at MK
Day 2: Rose and Crown (wanted Le Cellier but who can get a ressie there these days anyway?
) at Epcot
Day 3: Sci-Fi Diner (god, we love this place!
) at DHS
Day 4: Yak and Yeti at AK
Day 5: Beirgarten at Epcot
Day 6: FUD AND WHINE FESTIVAL!
Day 7: Kona for breakfast and back home
So we are about a week out from our trip and I'm going crazy with excitement. Doing the Happy Dance!
However, I've been dealing with a sore throat that never seems to be going away and getting freaked over it.
I've already taken a course of antibiotics which helped for a while but it's come back. Doctor doesn't think it's due to strep, he thinks its due to my allergies. So getting the shots are not all too bad, but it sucks when I have to miss a week.
Been looking through all my old last year's WDW photos and reminiscing. I hope to finish this PTR and will keep anyone who's interested in it updated this time around.
This will be our first time at the MNSSHP! I am SOOO looking forward to it. Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday, I love dressing up and enjoying the spooky fun of the holiday. My whole house gets decorated to the nines and all the local kids in our neighborhood just love to see our house on Oct. 31st and the days leading up to Halloween. So I hope that it won't be too HOT
come Sept. 20th! Would look forward to a little rain as we here in So Cal, San Diego hardly EVER get any precip!
So rain would be welcome for us, even though I can't stand the humidity. Makes my hair frizz out like nothing!
Have heard GREAT things about MNSSHP!
Now off to do the laundry!

More coming in the next report!
Christine
