So we just got back from Disney and went to MNSSHP. We went to a Boo Bash in 21 and they offered free water, soda, popcorn, and ice cream. I thought that was going to be a perk of going to MNSSHP, but it wasn't. Were the Boo Bash freebies only for that event or did MNSSHP offer them before the pandemic?

Similarly in 2021, we went to the Christmas party, and it included complimentary cokes, water, ice cream, etc, but it wasn't included in MNSSHP or MVMCP in '22 & '23. I don't know about previous years. It may have been an extra perk only for 2021 Halloween & Christmas parties to get people back into the parks.

Interesting. So all After Hours events have the free soda, ice cream, etc.? That may be the route I take in the future. I didn't enjoy MNSSHP as much as the Boo Bash in 21. Of course, it might just be because our only visit to MK was for the party on this past trip. We did the 3 park, 3 day ticket deal which allowed entry to one park (Epcot, DHS, AK) each day but not MK. Thus, we spent time doing our favorite rides instead of enjoying the fireworks, parades, and shows. While we did get to ride Tron and TBA, and SM in the dark was amazing, I feel like I didn't get a traditional walk down main st., we didn't get there until 5 and they herded us to the right behind Main St. As I write this, I'm realizing my beef isn't with MNSSHP but with my own poor planning!! Well, live and learn. Just glad I'm fortunate to have the ability to do Disney every two years or so!

Yes. After Hours are limited tickets, free drinks & snacks and short lines for rides. If they are a themed After Hours like Boo Bash or one year they had Villains there will be extra entertainment but not much.

Parties are very much about the Parade, the Castle Show, the Special Fireworks, special Meet & Greets and photo ops. Some use if for rides but I think After Hours is a better option for that. Of course depends on when the trip is and what is offered.

Halloween offers Trick or Trick Candy, Christmas offers Cookies (and festive beverages) but there is none of the free snacks & drinks that After Hours has.
