Trying to plan our October trip and want to know what is still possible/allowed with FP+:

1) Last year, we could enter MK at 4:00 and booked FP+ from 4-7 - is this still allowed/possible?

2) If we use one of our park tickets for DHS in the morning, can I book FP+ in DHS using our regular tickets and FP+ in MK using our party tickets? Since I technically have a ticket for each and will use that ticket to enter each park, does that break any rules?

Ultimately we are trying to decide if we should do DHS and the party the same day and then have a break day or do them on two different days with no break.

Thanks for any advice!! :sunny:

1) Yes, you can do this. However, I think the FP cutoff time is 6:30, with nothing issued past that time on a party night.

2) Nope. You can't book any FastPasses with your party ticket. You can use your 3 FP's in HS, then book one more for after 4:00 for MK. Use that up and grab another.

I'm a little confused. How can you do option 1 if you can't book FPs with your party ticket? I'm assuming the poster has no regular ticket to MK for that day: hence the mention of arriving at 4pm.

Well you CAN book fastpasses with your party ticket, but that would prevent you from booking them at Hollywood Studios. It's basically one or the other. You can prebook 3 in one park with one ticket, or 3 in the other park with the other ticket. But only 3 per day period. Assuming both tickets are on the same My Disney Experience account.

So you can do advance FP+ with a party ticket only?

Perhaps I misunderstood the OP. I thought that they were asking if they could book 3 FP's for HS and then 3 FP's on their separate MNSSHP ticket.

To me, I think it would be a high risk this year to just assume this is ok with the change that happened today. They are closing any loopholes of people getting extras by locking people out of fp+ starting today.

Tonberry is right you can use the MNSSHP ticket to book FP for the MK form 4-7 or you can use your regular ticket too book FP at HS that day, you can not do both.

I have done a few parties over the last few years and I have done them with an AP so I had tickets and had a party ticket andI had to chose one or the other. I think Disney counts this as double dipping and they are starting to creak down on it. when you pay for the party you are paying for the special things like the meet and greets, parades fire works, the fact that you can go in at 4 and you can if you chose get 3 FP is a bonus, but every one get 3 per day

Yes, but the FP's can only be after 4:00 (because you can't get in before that), and you can't book any other FP+'s for any other park. It's a great tactic we used for our resort day and MVMCP evening.

I had a party ticket to both Halloween and Christmas last year. JUST a party ticket. I did not have a daytime admission nor am I a passholder (I just did other stuff in the morning before both). I was able to book fastpasses in Magic Kingdom both dates. Party tickets allow you to book fastpasses for the date they're valid, no daytime admission is required.

I was actually perfectly able to book them for the entire day. You're not limited to booking them between the hours of 4pm to 7pm. You just can't get into the park to USE them until after 4pm. I could have booked one for 10am if I'd wished to, but I'd have had no way to get into the park and use it.

I actually booked mine for 3:30-4:30, 4:30-5:30 and 5:30-6:30 for both parties. That's really your only option if you want to use all 3, since they don't allow you to book later than 6:30. You have 1/2 an hour to use the first one after entering at 4, and an hour each to use the other two. That's the latest you can stack them.

You can always create a new account and buy the tickets to the party using that account and them book 3 FP+ with your main ticket for DHS and 3 FP+ with your party ticket for MK. No where in the TOS says you can't have two MDE accounts.

While your park tickets and party tickets are indeed TWO separate tickets, if their linked to your one MDE account, the system does not read it as 2 separate tickets and only allows 3 preselected FP's to be made, like normal.

If you want 3 FP's for a morning park and then 3 FP's for MK..then you'll need to make another MDE account, link the party ticket to that new MDE, and then select your Mk FP's on there. Which is perfectly fine to do as you have valid tickets. Then you'll have essentially 6 preselected FP's

Thanks everyone! This was what I was wondering. I want to be sure to follow all the rules with the changes being made. I wasn't sure if Disney saw a difference between us going to DHS (booking FP+ there in advance) and then going to the party at night (and booking the FP+ there) within the same day vs. spreading it across two days. We are paying for a day at a park (so we get 3 FP+) and last year when we went, we got 3 FP+ with the party ticket (but hadn't done a park earlier in the day). Again just trying to maximize our options while staying within the rules. This might make the decision for us - no break day! :)

You'll be fine. The rule/loophole they closed is guests making a dummy MDE, linking a mb to that account, having no park tickets, and the system would allow them to go to a FP kiosk and select same day FP's.

That's fixed now though and you weren't attempting that
