YES. If you love Disney and love Halloween festivies then YES.
The parade is great! The trick or treating is for kids and adults. The fireworks are great! The decorations and music (and parade) can only be seen at the party.
I have friends that go without children & I think they have a better time ... they do not have to leave if & when a little one is too tired to stay, they don't have to worry about them eating too much candy or being afraid of something (not that there is in Disney but sometimes kids are afraid). My kids are older now & I enjoy it more. I can actually stay until the end of the party! In fact, this year, my youngest is nearly 13, I am getting dressed up for the party
Oh it's really fun, you guys HAVE to do it!!! One of my favorite things to do at MNSSHP is sit on a bench near Main St and watch the kids pour in the park in their outfits and just look around Magic Kingdom at the lights and decorations. They are all so excited and happy.......then a few hours later that usually changes and the excited children become unhappy and tired ha ha
You will love it if you go, there is so much to see and do, you don't have to dress up but it is always fun to see the adults in costumes too........once saw a grandpa dressed up as Peter Pan and he was soooo uncomfortable with it until he saw me dressed up, somehow that cheered his mood as he was thinking he'd be the only adult to dress up!!! It's just great fun!
I'm gonna agree with the masses on this one. DO IT! DH and I are going Sept 30 and yes, we're both dressing up. No kids? No problem! We love Halloween and Disney so much that it doesn't matter.
You should go. This will be DW's and I first time to MNSSHP. We originally had our tickets for 10-30-05 and then decided to to go the night before my bday on 10-27-05. Luckily I contacted them before they mailed them out and got it changed. Now it turns out that my DW was going to get me somthing at WDW for my bday, but the person she was going to use is not doing the gift basket that she wanted. So with my innocent ways (I know she might read this.. ) I simply suggested to lets do another night at the party for our original night which happens to be the last night we are there. What better way to end it then to be at MK until midnight....
Can't wait, Can't wait...oh did I mention I can't wait?
hucifer ~ We would be going September 30th also. We will already be there so why not go (Ugh I just have to convince DH)
I keep reading him all the replies and driving him crazy!
Thanks again!
DH and I have gone twice and it is lots of fun. There are lots of things you don't see during the day. The parade is fun also. Some folks like to get ressies at one of the table service restaurants at MK and then go to the party. Maybe that would tip the scale in your favor with your DH - the promise of a good meal.
BTW, we dressed up simply both years. T-shirts and shorts type costumes. There are some other threads on the boards about this. You might try doing a search.

My attitude the first time I went was, if I don't like it I won't do it again...but I had such a great time I promised myself I would go every chance I could.
