I agree. I really hope this applies to the Christmas party. But I hope they tell us soon. I have an ADR for a late lunch at a resort. I may be interested in changing it to an early dinner in MK.

I’ve a hunch they’ll wait and see how it goes at MNSSHP before extending it to MVMCP....but time will tell. The first Halloween party is only 2 1/2 weeks away now, believe it or not!

Yes, that's what I figured. I may go ahead and try to get an early dinner ADR. Since my other reservation is for lunch, the system will let me. Now, just wish I could get a BOG reservation.

I'm glad for who can take advantage of this perk, I usually a UK ultimate ticket when visiting, so I normally have a ticket for every day of the vacation. This year and the next I will have an AP.
What's interesting is that this is the first perk added under the new DVC boss. Probably agreed under the previous management, but she didn't cancel it, so it seems they're still looking at expanding the number of perks.

Here's what it currently says on the Member website:
In 2018, Members and their guests can enter Magic Kingdom park 2 hours earlier than ever before—as early as 2:00 PM. Simply present your valid Disney Vacation Club Membership Card and your event ticket at the main entrance touch points to take advantage of this benefit. This benefit is valid for the Member and up to 7 guests with tickets to this event—a total of 8 people.

It says this at the bottom of the page:
Important Information about Membership Extras:
Membership Extras, such as vacation options in the Disney and Concierge Collections, certain discounts, offers, and special events are incidental benefits. These incidental benefits are subject to change or termination without notice, may require the payment of a fee and cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions. Membership Extras are also subject to availability and block-out dates may apply, including high periods of demand such as Christmas and New Year’s Day. To receive any Membership Extras, purchasers must present a valid Disney Vacation Club Membership Card along with a corresponding valid photo ID. Effective February 25, 2018, to obtain a Disney Vacation Club Membership Card, Members must accumulate a total of at least 75 Vacation Points purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc. How will fast passes work.....extras, or will it pull from unused days tickets.

There have been issues booking FPs on party tickets the last 2 years...but that wouldn’t stop me from trying to book them from 2 pm on.

As worded, with the recent history and the one person reporting they were told it would be restricted to "Members"; I think we can assume it'll be for legal blue card carrying members only.

People should not be left to speculate based on what is printed elsewhere on the web page and which may or may not apply, or based on prior experience, or based on general knowledge gained from being a regular on a wonderful message board.

The description, as quoted above, says, "This benefit is valid for the Member and up to 7 guests with tickets to this event."

If they want it to be restricted, they should say, "This benefit is valid for DVC owners who have purchased [insert rule here] and who have tickets to the event, and up to 7 people who have tickets to the event and who enter the park with the owner."

I think that it's safe to say that DVD/DVC doesn't consider resale non qualified buyers as members. They have created the distinction on purpose with malice and forethought. If you don't add to their bottom line with a direct purchase, they don't include you in their club.

It's probably something like a "Member" vs "Owner" situation...If you bought from DVC direct (or you are "grandfathered" in with full benefits), then you are considered a "Member" of the club. Otherwise, if you bought resale, you are simply an "Owner" of a DVC contract with the ability to use the points associated with that contract and nothing else.

I found it by searching “mickey’s not so scary” and clicking on discount for party tickets. (Is the discount also restricted to people who meet the 75 point rule?) i did not go to membership extras to find it.
