mnsshp dining question

I just added mnsshp to our trip. I currently have cape may at 5:30pm that day.

Is that a doable ressie?

What do others do for dining during mnsshp?

Is there dining at mk during the party for ts and counter service?

We weren't probably going to be in the mk that day until mnsshp. That is our freebie day to do favorites or go back to a park that was a hit (thinking ak or going to blizzard beach).

Most people enjoy eating before the party in MK or at least at a monorail resort. But most restaurants are already booked solid.

LTT and Tony's are open through the party till about 9:30p and CP, the Castle and the Plaza are open till park closing, taking ADRs till about 5:30p - 6:00p.

Counter services that will be open are Pecos Bills and Cosmic Rays.

A 5:30p ADR at Cape May will get you to MK a little after 7:00p, IMHO. Not bad if you have your heart set on it but I'd probably try for something closer to MK.

Try for the Plaza so at least you're already in the park. Worked out well for us in '04 and the Plaza is truly a hidden gem.

We are going to the MNSSHP for the first time this year on 10/23 and I made a reservation for LTT at 7:05PM that night. I'm pretty sure that's all they had left and my mom and I love it so I just took it. I'm wondering though-are we going to miss to much of the night if we do this? We are staying on property for the night so we are going to go to the hotel a couple of hours prior to our reservation to get changed into out costumes and then head back to the park. Will this work??

The party starts at 7:00p; they start letting you in with just your party ticket at 4:00p. IMHO, I wouldn't waste valuable party time sitting down and eating. You won't be done till probably 8:15p or so IF you are seated on time.

The party tickets are way to expensive to spend sitting in a restaurant.

If you have your heart set on it, then you really should arrive early for your ADR in hopes that at least you'd be seated on time.

We're doing a late lunch at 2:30 at CP since we don't want to miss any of the fun at the party. I figure if we do a late buffet lunch then we won't be hungry the rest of the night. However, we do have some instant ramen/soup in the room if we're hungry when we get back from the party. It's not much but will fill you up to get through the night. We learned from last year what we want to do this year.

I highly advise eating at a CS the night of MNSSHP. We lucked up unknowingly and sat down for dinner about 6:30 in Cosmic Rays. We were in the room with the Sonny Eclipse. At 7:00 as we were finishing up, a stage rose up with Stitch in Elvis costume and the dance party started. It was a fabulous way to get the night started. Donald and Pluto came to dance and our children had a ball, while we had a table and chairs to watch from and eat dessert!

I think you will miss valuable party time if you keep your Cape May Reservation. I woulkd advise you to try to get the earliest dining time possible because you do want to be inside MK before 7PM to be able to get the full enjoyment of MNSSHP. That won't happen with a 5:30 ressie at Cape May. whatever you do make sure you have your dinner over with well before the party starts because as others have said, it is a waste of your party time if you eat during the party itself.

Only at LTT and only on party nights and they only wear eye masks, not full costumes like they do at the parties during meet and greets.

Since you can get into the party at 4:00, try for an earlier ADR at Tony's or Plaza (like between 4 and 5) Or just eat CS - somewhere there was a list of which CS are open during the party - it's only a few - Cosmic Ray's is definitely one of them.
The tickets are so expensive - I'd rather enjoy the party stuff than eat dinner.

Hey - I just realized - you could always eat the Halloween candy for dinner!!

I agree with the other posts. Try to eat earlier and if possible closer to MK. We made the mistake our 1st MNSSHP of eating later and not getting to the party until around 7:00. Of course, I didn't know about the dis then and was unprepared. We learned our lesson and now have a late lunch/early dinner the day of the party. We have either eaten at our resort or MK.

This year we are going to our first MVMCP and have a 4:25 adr at the Plaza. I was thinking the lighter food would be a good idea.

This week I got a ADR at Crystal Palace for Oct.28 our MNSSHP for 4:55pm. We are not planning on using our tickets at MK that day only our party ticktets, which let us in the park at 4:00.

We're eating at TTS at 4:50. I tried for a monorail restaurant but booked solid unless we wanted to eat at 9:00!
