MNSSHP Dates

I was going to put up a question about MNSSHP as well so will piggy back on this if that's ok :thumbsup2

Q1. Where can I find out what days MNSSHP will be on in October 2014, as replied earlier in the thread is it the same days every year?

Q2. We want to go to MNSSHP how do I go about booking our spaces? Can this be done in advance or only done when on site?

Q3. To fancy dress or not fancy dress that is the question! Will we stand out like sore thumbs if we are in our "civvies" A part of me wants to dress up but the other part thinks its taking up space in our respective cases!!

:scratchin

If I remember rightly MNSSHP go on sale about May time. I bought ours when we went last year online and did the print-at-home voucher thing which worked just fine.

I was also in two minds about dressing up as I knew my DH and boys would never go the whole hog so I compromised as you can see in my sig pic below. We actually wore pj bottoms and tshirts which were very comfortable and practical for touring the park and doing the rides we also got a lot of very complementary compliments from guests and CM which was also nice.

I've done MNSSHP twice once Pre-booked and once on the day ( two diff years). The parties are quieter the earlier in sept/oct u go. The Pre-paid one did give us a plastic card like the room cards which makes a good momento.

We dressed up the first time as the kids were younger but the second we all bought Halloween t-shirts and lots of novelties which you can get on the night. Plastic Bags and bands are given out at the entrance but more substantial bags can also be purchased. Enjoy:-)

Here are a few general things

- Tickets go on sale May 1st.

- bying in advance is cheaper than buying on the day. (fridays can't be booked in advance)

- closer to Halloween is busier.

- parties are usually on sundays, tuesdays, thursdays and fridays

- sundays and tuesdays are usually the less crowded parties of the week (not an absolute rule)

- fridays are the busiest

- dressing up is fun. Not dressing up is equally fun.

- MNSSHP ticket gets you into MK at 4PM, don't think that since parties start at 7 you need to be at the gate at 7, be there at 4 and line up for rare characters at 6:30

- if you don't have a "day" ticket for that day, take the opportunity to do something else in the morning and be in MK as early as your MNSSHP ticket will get you in. (4PM)

- read the MNSSHP threads on the general (US) forum, there a wealth of information.

All days can be pre-booked but only some days offer a discount for advance purchase.

Even buying the day before gets you the advance purchase price.

They are only on Tuesday and Friday to start in September then add Sunday in the last week of September and finally Thursday in mid October

Thanks for all this info. We arrive in Orlando on 20th September on a Saturday after a cruise so with it being mid Sept we would have to stay until the Wednesday to catch a party on the Tuesday before we leave on the Wednesday. I think this will be do-able. :goodvibes

Thanks for the info on this thread - really helpful. I think we are going to do it twice during our two week stay so we can experience everything!
