MNSSHP dates change again ?

I have been following the threads regarding date for MNSSHP for September since we will be at WDW from 9/4-9/13. We had planned to do a party on 9/8 which juding by the calendar appeared would be a party date. I know after many were prepared for the first party on 9/3 it then became apparent by the calendar that it would not be until 9/14. I just looked at the calendar thsi A.M. and it looks like 9/3 and 9/8 again show MK closing at 7:00 P.M. whcih would indicate a party! Still no official word!

A CM I spoke with said the tickets would go on sale April 29th, so I'm guessing we may not know the official dates until then.

I was told April 29 last week too. If it's in print where the phone CMs can see it AND a lot of us have received the same info AND the fact that the CM I spoke to offered the info up vs. me asking about it, appears to be a fairly safe bet.

Personally, I can't wait for April 29 so we can get a better idea of MK park hours for Sept. That way we can cancel a few ressies and let others take them. We called at 180 days out (mostly for Chefs du France, Chef Mickey's, and Le Cellier) and had to rebook a week later once the schedule changed. Once the party dates are set, we can plan a little better.

OK-the good news is I am booked on bounceback for free dining-the bad news is it is apparantly going to come at the price of my sanity

Maybe enoungh of us overplanners wrote in and they changed it back. But much like the pp said-I am not moving my ADRs until the actual tickets are out. Right now I am currently double booked (by my terms not Disneys) When it looked like they moved the party off the 17th I grabbed a ressie for Tuesday at the same time-I figure once the dust settles I will cancel the one I dont need. I feel bad for doing this but they are the ones that keep changing things

I was also told April 29th for ticket sales. Don't understand why they can't release just the dates before the tickets go on sale, but whatever.

Fingers crossed that they coincide with the MK hours calendar, as I am assuming that when the park closes at 7pm that means it to be a party night.

not sure if it changed again per se, but yes, it changed a couple of weeks ago. the first party is on the 14th. Disney has already issued press releases that specifically mention Sep 14 - Nov 1 so it's not likely to go back.

in addition, two other dates in Sept were removed/replaced and I believe 1 more was added.

I called and talked to a very nice CM who said that he thought that it was LIKELY that the parties were going to happen (actually he said I'm sure they will) he was super nice but I am going to scream....

So what's happening on Friday, September 3 and Wednesday, September 8. The WDW calendar, today, has MK closing at 7:00 p.m. on those dates.

A Press Release doesn't mean that Disney won't change the dates. They reserve the right to change them at any time before the official announcement and sale of tickets commences.

they can also change them AFTER they sell tix.This happened last year or the year before, and also happened with the P&P parties

My best guess is that they are finalizing the calendar and due to the popular nature of MNSSHP they are keeping with the tradition of having parties in the 1st week of Sept?

Very true! The dates can change even after tickets are sold.

We were lucky enough to have attend the 1st party last year during Labor Day weekend and loved it and were hoping that they would again have it during that time frame. I did read awhile that it may not happen. My boys were not too happen about that so every morning going to school we listen to the DVD we bought last year and that the music for the MNSSHP party. So if disney doesn't have the party during the time we are there, we relive the party every morning in our car. Of course it's not the same but I guess it will have to do.

I swear Disney is out to make me crazy! First the date are there, then they aren't, and now they are. And they still haven't announced a promo for fall. Don't they realize that my work is suffering because I am needing a vacation....yep mad I tell you....mad as a hatter!

Well, I am glad I saw this thread. When the September Park hours were first posted I had penciled in going to the party on 9/8. I've gone to MNSSHP before and really like the parade and the fireworks, and the candy is a nice perk.
When they changed the hours I was disappointed, but got over it. Now, unless they are purposely trying to drive us crazy it looks as though 9/8 is back on the party schedule.
I will leave my itinerary alone until Disney offically annouces the party dates.

I spoke to a cast member at 407-WDW-CREW to make my DD8 a reservation at the Pirate's League just a little bit ago and she said they were given the dates of the MNSSHP today, and that tickets would be on sale April 30. Hopefully that is correct. She looked up the dates I was planning to attend and confirmed that there were parties scheduled on that day.
