MNSSHP - Date? What would you do?

Hello all - headed to the world in 2 months...Taking my kids to MNSSHP for the first time.

I have 2 options for party dates:

Thursday October 1
Friday October 2 (also DVC and AP discount - I am not either of these, anymore)

Normally I would choose the Thursday night party - however we also want to enjoy Epcot food and wine/Illuminations. And the only night we have to do this is either Thursday or Friday.

So - what would you do
Thursday Party - Friday Illuminations
or
Thursday Illuminations - Friday Party

What do you think??

I would do Thursday party-Friday illuminations. The Friday party is probably going to be significantly busier. Since that is a separate ticketed event I would want to go on a night where I might get more for my money.

I figured the Friday party would be busier - excellent point about the $$, all ways looking to get $$ worth

I think that Thursday night tickets for MNSSHP are a few dollars cheaper for both adult and child but I don't think that Friday at the Halloween Party will be very crowded. The weekends at F&W can be terrible so I think I would go to MNSSHP on Friday as well.

I was in the same situatoin and chose the 1st because I heard fridays were quite busy and after how busy it was when i was there on Halloween I rathered a quieter time.
