For those of you that have attended, how have the crowds been??

Hi! We went to the first party, the 14th. It was great!! We entered the park about 4:30 because we had dinner at Tony's at 5:30. The park seemed so empty when we went in! Day guests were already leaving. The enterance gates were set up for the party & we got our wrist bands & trick or treat bags as we entered.

We finished dinner just before 7PM. More people were now in the park, but still not bad. Went to the photopass site at Haunted Mansion early & only waited about 5 mins. DD & DSIL did end up waiting about 30 mins for a photo with the 7 dwarfs at around 8:30. I didn't know about that ahead of time or we would have gone there sooner. We walked thru Mickey & Minnie's houses but didn't wait for those photos, line looked long.

We hit almost all the Trick or Treat sites, never any lines. Just walked right thru. We didn't watch the fireworks, so I can't tell you how crowded Main St was for that. No little kids so we didn't do the Dance Parties.

But NO lines on any rides. Not too many people in the shops. We watched the second parade from in front of Tony's. Not crowded at all. We sat on the curb, no one even behind us. Went right out to bus after second parade. Bus was loading for Port Orleans & we got on. Standing, but still, didn't even need to wait for another bus.

All in all, I think crowds were less than other 2 times we went. It was great!

Good to know, we'll be there in 11 days! :cool1:

We went on the 21st and I thought it was busy. We made an early dinner in CRT for 4:25 so we'd be ready to go. It's weird, the rides weren't all that packed....most did not have a wait and those that did had a 10 min wait tops. But the park seemed very busy. The parade route was busy, but that's to be expected.

All in all though, it was very manageable and VERY worth going. I would do it again in a heartbeat. it was a blast.

I went on the 25th and found the crowds were lighter than when I went last year. We hit each trick or treat station twice, rode quite a few rides...most with little to no wait, got a great spot for the fireworks and parade, and got our picture at most of the picture spots. The longest lines were for Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs and a few other character spots. We actually just walked right in to see Mickey and Minnie, though. I think people didn't know they were there.

We did the party on Thursday September 23 and it was not crowded at all. Most rides were walk on or very little wait, candy lines were small. The only time I saw crowds was on Main Street during the parade and fireworks.

There was a posted 30 minute wait for Haunted Mansion that was probably only 20 minutes. Madame Leota is on a bench on the front lawn, with lots of wise cracks.

Crowds thin after the firewords. We did our T or T early, saw the shows and fireworks and watched the second parade and then went on the rides. Purchased out halloween shirts and pins around 12 then went back to our resort.

we were there on the 25th also.... have same opinion. my kids were able to ride BTMR 3 times in a row without having to get off the ride.

We were able sit right in front of the castle for the fireworks and it wasnt super crowded. The last parade was great... no real crowds!

We saw the hag with no wait at all.... I didnt even realize she was there at first.
have fun!!

I went on Tuesday the 21st and Saturday the 25th. I thought the crowds were bigger on the 21st. Some trick or treat lines zipped you in and out, some were quite long and slow moving. We didn't do any rides but the character lines - esp the 7 Dwarves - were pretty long. Watched the first parade from in front of the castle and people were stacked up four or five deep there. In contrast, all the trick or treat lines that I saw on the 25th were pretty short or were moving quickly. Didn't do any characters but the rides were pretty much all walk on, except for Peter Pan. (Dumbo was 5 minutes, never seen that before ...). Watched the first Parade from Frontierland and crowds were pretty sparse - big empty gaps in at the white rope 10 minutes before the parade). I had thought about making a run for Frontierland for the parade on the 21st, but I wasn't sure about parade timing and was afraid I was going to miss half the parade by the time I made it back over to Frontierland.

I went September 23rd only line I waited in was at Mrs Potts for a milkshake. Otherwise the lines for trick or treating were short to non existent when I went...the rides had no waits. Got a good seat for the parade and for fireworks. I even got a walk up at the table service restaurants.

The only long lines were the photo ops. But it was me and my fiance so we werent into photos the same we did the haunted mansion hitch hikers, the haunted mansion carriage, castle, pirates of the carribean, 7 dwarves (right at closing) and the cinderella pumpkin (right at closing near 7 dwarves) without more than a 5 minute wait.

we are going on Nov 1st and I'm hoping since it is AFTER Halloween that the crowds will not be bad. I am worried, though, that all the MNSSHP mercahandise will be gone. Has anyone ever gone to the last party that could fill me in?

Good to know! We're going Oct 8th and I'm trying to get a read on the crowds especially on nights where locals might be more prone to attending.

Good to hear!! Our first MNSSHP was 3 years ago and it was a week night during the 3rd week of October and I thought it was pretty crowded. Can't wait for next week!!

We went on Sept 21. It was crowded. It was our most crowded time at the park except for on Friday when they had the spectro light parade. I did not expect it to be that crowded. We did get through the dwarves line and the carriage line in about 30 min each. We were in the line for the carriage and realized we missed the parade. The fireworks were awesome!

I read someone did not think it was a crowded on the 23rd, maybe we should have went that day. it could also depend on what your definition of "crowded" is and what you are expecting. I was not expecting it to be as crowded as it was on the 21st, maybe if I would have expected more of a crowd it would have not seemed that bad:confused3

Just an FYI for anyone planning to eat at Cosmic Rays on a party nights. They change the menu at 7pm. We were lucky to have our order rang in at about 6:55, so we were able to get chicken & ribs and so were the people behind us because it was before 7, even though the menu had been changed.

We were there on the 28th. All rides we went on were walk ons and we only had to line up 15 minutes to get a decent spot in frontierland for the parade. Probably could have waited until 5 minutes prior in honesty.

Some of the photopass spots (haunted mansion, castle, carriage) and character greets were a little crowded but that's about it.

I was there the same night and felt the same way. The character lines were a bit heavy, but rides were great.

I even walked up slightly to the left of the hub for the fireworks about 3-5 minutes before they started and had a great view (and I made sure the people behind me could still see ;), they eventually moved in closer before mobs started coming in during the show). For the parade (the 2nd one, I skipped the first), I plopped a spot about 20 minutes early right at the "far" corner of LTT and it was an excellent spot. The route curves there so everyone along the ropes has a great view. The timing was a bit off though, as most of the characters were looking away at the point where they came by me at though.

Overall, it was very light, but there were storms from about 3:30pm until 5:00 or so that night, so that may have affected it.

Being solo without kids though, I did get snubbed by the roaming Captain Hook and his handler, which was annoying. The Dole Whip float made up for it though ;).
