Yay just got my tickets for MNSSHP for the 24th Oct, the last night of my trip. So excited :p

I know I can get dressed up for the event and was wondering if anyone know of any great places in Orlando to get costumes. Both for adults and infants.

As it's my last night I don't want to hire as I'll be rushing about the next day getting to the airport so I won't have time to drop them off.

So would like to purchase something (as I could re-use back here for Halloween) I'd like something fab but don't want to break the bank, any ideas? :)

Thanks for the info, that's great... Also would say hope to see you there but with all the costumes we'll have no idea who anyone is lol :p

haha, our kids will be dressing up but we have already decided the adults probably won't bother.

We'll be dressing up again in our Nightmare Before Christmas pjs as per the pic below. I'm really hoping we can get a photo with Jack and Sally as they weren't there when we went in 2012

Don't expect to buy your costumes from Walmart a couple of days before your party

We've tried to do that in 2012 for our 3 MNSSHP (21st, 23rd and 25th October 2012) we tried 2 Walmarts, the one on 535 close to 192 and the one on Hwy 27
there was only a very poor selection of costumes left. The department was basically empty except for some basic styles.

We spent a ridiculous amount of time shopping for our costumes, and after a couple of days doing nothing else than shopping for outfits, we ended up going to the parties in an halloween themed T-shirt we found at walmart

Then last year, for our 2 parties, we decided to buy the costumes on the internet, and to take them with us in our suitcases.
We did some shopping for other stuff, and out of curiosity, we had a peek into the halloween department, and then again, the selection was poor (it was around october 20th) and we were so glad we had already bought our costumes.

Buy them before and take them with you, or have them shipped to your resort. But don't plan to buy them in Orlando this close to halloween, you'll only find costumes nobody wanted to buy in the previous weeks.

here our 2013 costumes (I can't remember if I posted them yet on another thread)

We also bought ours before we left the UK and took them with us. We found it much more convenient to do all the choosing/shopping/trying on here at home, than let it eat into our holiday time.

Love, Love , LOVE your costumes!

Thanks for all the advise, very helpful.

Also loving the pictures, but as the outfits are so good I'd better buck up my ideas as I don't want to let the UK side down ;)

I love MNSSHP!!

Each time we've been we've dressed up and when being there on holiday I've always taken costumes with us in our cases rather than hunting round stores on the lead up to Halloween.

Halloween is a big event in the states so lots of pre planning goes into it so by the time the end of October come around costumes are pretty scarce in stores. Either buy them at home and put it in your case or as others have suggested buy on the US amazon store and have shipped to your resort.

As your there around Halloween, pay a visit to Fort Wilderness to have a look at the guests decorated plots, its more than a spectacle!
