Ok, everything is booked (except for a few ADR's) and I'm coming to a total blank as to what to wear to the party :/ I want to e comfort me since we will be going end of Septemer and I know it will still be hot and humid. Thinking of couples costume ideas for myself and the DBF...any suggestions??? (Doesn't necessarily have to be themed or matching)

Aside from the obvious disney pairs??

M & M, D & D, peter pan and wendy, mad hatter and alice, any princess and her prince, the list goes on....

Hansel and gretel, raggedy ann and Andy...

cheerleader/ foot ball player or salt/pepper or mrs piggy and kermit

Sorry i can get carried away...LOL Hubby only does couple costumes every 3 years...I Have lots of ideas....LOL

Jack and Sally Skellington

I went as Sally and bought a Sally patchwork shirt which came with gloves/sleeves with stitches. Just wore yoga pants and wasn't hot during our late Sept. party. Had some red hair extensions rather than a wig.

Here's my DD (Tron), BIL (Beetlejuice), and SIL (Cinderella from Ever After) from last year's party. They don't necessarily go together, but they sure were fun! My DD's costume where the white design is was actually light tape that glowed blue, as did the identity disk. My SIL was wearing white wings, but you can't see them in the picture.

I have been looking at family or couple costumes too.

I saw a great Peter Pan one for couples one was peter one was peter's shadow.

Donaldandpirates, those are great costumes!

Um, couples ideas... Alice and the Mad hatter, Woody and Jessie, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, I like the idea of Jack and Sally, Belle and Gaston, Mouseketeers, or you guys could just wear halloween shirts. The Disney store sells lots of nice Nightmare Before Christmas themed shirts.

My sister and I are going as "anime" tigger and eeyore lol. We are making appropriate color tutus and our hair will be somewhat outlandishly styled. Its lightweight and will be very easy to store in a locker at animal kingdom until it is time to head over to mk!

My daughter and I are going as pirates. pirate: It will be hot so instead of boots we are going to get boot covers and wear them over our sandals! :lmao: Also since we dont go every year, its a costume we can wear to other events. :thumbsup2

last year i went to the party as scary Belle but i must admit the costume was a bit uncomfortable as there was 3 layers to it finished of with black netting. Last year was my first MNSCHP with a costume as this is a new thing to me. this time i am dressing a pirate with a lycra pirate dress and bandana that hasn't cost me earth. Belles costume cost me £35 which to my fellow americans works out at about $80- $90. my pirate dress has cost me £10 ($20- $25).

i was a little worried what to wear as people have told me that CMs would ask us to leave if my outfit was above the knee, but DH and I saw that other party goers wore a lot less!

also with at the time i wore my belle outfit, we went in mid october. When we have attended WDW previously, we had gone in May/ June so i didn't expect October to be as hot as it was as England is freezing by that time.

now my pirate outfit is a lot thinner and is only one layer so at least i'd be a lot more comfortable. below hopefully is a picture of the outfits i wore so you have an idea.

Last year, my family went and I was Megara, my husband Hercules, and my sister Pegasus. Really easy to make and I wear my dress all the time - got a cheap one from a department store. It was such fun!

The possibilities really are endless.
You could be most any Disney character, or dress as something else.

My DS 18 and I were going to be 2 of the 7 dwarves..but I've been hearing how humid and hot it still is in September...so I think we're going to switch to something a little cooler. I think the long sleeve tunics and leggings of the dwarves would have been too hot.

I'm hitting up MNSSHP on the 27th of September. DW will have her modern take on Ariel, while DD will be Doc McStuffins. I'll be a Dharma Initiative "work man" :) love me some LOST

I have to say I never even thought about the fact CMs might possibly ask you to leave if your costume was a bit on the skimpy side. I wouldn't be able to get away with anything too far above the knee these days anyway but most of the costumes I saw when I was looking for a Disney themed one were on the skimpy side. The Peter Pan and Peter's Shadow sounds AWESOME though! :) Would've been good for me and my son as he sticks to me like a shadow unless he's in an awkward "I want to be independent!" mood. Lol! :) We're going as Superheroes! :)
