We go to Disney in 3 weeks and will be attending the MNSSHP and the kids want to dress up.

My 11 DD is a MASSIVE fan of Lilo & Stitch and search as I may I could not find a Lilo dress, only grass skirts.

So...

Red Dress - Charity Shop £4.00
Pack of Bonda Web £2.50
White Cotton offcut £3.00

and we have a Lilo dress!! (I am so pleased, never tried anything like this before and cannot believe how well it came out)

It looks fantastic-bet it's better than anything you could buy anyway. Well done you. Hope you have a great time:goodvibes

Very good likeness, and at a fraction of the cost it would have been to buy one - online or otherwise.

Thanks for the comments - we will be doing the Ohana Breakfast on our first morning (6th Sept) and MNSSHP on 11th.

So if you see my little Lilo you can say hi!

Below is another picture of the dress - this time with the Giant Stitch that we hauled back from DLP on the Eurostar!

:scared1: That is one huge Stitch! It's great though, I love Stitch! :goodvibes I love your DD's little shrine too, so cute!

In honour of one day to go: :woohoo::banana::woohoo::banana::woohoo:

Great costume, homemade ones the best IMO :) I bought ours in 2007 and regretted it, especially since I ended up modifying them anyway  I'm making ours this weekend so i'll probably post pics in my PTR :goodvibes

Fab pictures! We were going dressed up but we wrecked our costumes at a fancy dress party last weekend :scared1: so wearing tshirts instead :thumbsup2

Just wanted to thank you for the inspiration on this. DW saw what you were able to achieve and put together something similar last weekend. DD was mighty impressed and is now looking forward to impersonating Lilo on our next trip! :stitch2:

Wow that looks great. I'm sure Lilo will be impressed with both girls as I can't imagine many people turn up dressed as her - unlike all the other princesses :thumbsup2

Zippy - that is one big Stitch. I have a DS who would love something like that and I bet you had a lot of fun bringing it back from DLP. Did you have to buy him his own ticket :lmao:
