Share your costume pictures/ideas for MNSSHP 2008!

My boyfriend and i are going as a witch and a puritan for the salem witch trials

Never been before so I don't know if I will dress up but is it too lame to go as a nurse? and not a character?

Not at all! Last year we went as bonnie and clyde and wore gangster outfits. Lots of people chose to not dress up as the characters, or characters that aren't disney related.

BTW, i spell my name meagan too!!

My daughter is going as Alice and her freind as the Cheshire Cat.

We are a family of six going as Father Time, Mother Nature and the 4 Seasons.
But costumes will be kept simple. The kids are making t-shirts today that include decorative items to coincide with which season they are (i.e. dd who is Autumn is attaching fabric red and orange leaves to a yellow t-shirt and ds who is winter has a light blue tee and attaching white snowflakes... etc).

I have a blue/green flowing tank top and am adding some accessories (head wreath, vines wrapped around my arms)

and dh is wearing white and a big oversized clock (ala RUN DMC type). He may wear a wizard hat, cape and beard but not sure if that will be too much for him!

First party 9-16 we are going in inflatable costumes. The second party 9-19 we are going in a secret set of custom made costumes and we are so excited to get to show them off finally. Have fun at your parties

My husband will be Indianna Jones, My friends are going to be Esmerelda, Ariel and a Pirate. I will be Lilo. (with stitch, of course!)

My DH and are are going as Steve and Joe from Blue's Clues (found the shirts on-line), DD12 is wearing scrubs and going as a doctor (simple, comfy, cheap), DD7 is going as Mulan (in a hideously expensive Disney-bought costume), and DD2 is a bumblebee (in a homemade costume, no less -- that I bought at a garage sale!).

We were going to go as MK ride themes, but opted not to do that this year. We are all going as campaigners for the "Jack Sparrow for President" campaign!!! We found shirts on Cafe Press!

If you see 3 people in shirts (different colors) that say "Sparrow, Barbossa 2008- Take what cha can, give nothing back!" on Sept 12... That will be us!

DD and I are going as 50's/poodle skirt girls.....easy, light and sneakers required so feet are comfy

Haha! I wasn't calling nurses lame---I am one so it is lame that I am not being too creative here!! But the scrubs should be nice and comfy for sure.

Most people are listing that they are going as some kind of character and I am just going as the career that I have but it is easy!!!!

The beauty of it is... no one at WDW needs to know what you do for a living!! No one will be the wiser!

i am going as a wench or renaissance girl. Its a blue under dress with a brown and black over dress corseted style top. I'll probably just wear tennis shoes with it. Boots would just hurt too much.

DH and DS12 are wearing their Jack Skelington T-shirts.

DD8 will be Snow White in yellow shorts, blue t-shirt with red ribbon that I added on sleeves, Snow White pin and Snow White red bow in her hair. She also has a short red cape but I have a feeling she won't wear that all night.

I'll be Snow White's Evil Queen. I've got black shorts, deep purple shirt that I'll put Evil Queen pin on, a gold tiara and a black cape with white collar. Makeup will probably melt so I'm not gonna mess with that.

The costumes should be light and easy and best of all we already owned everything except the tiara - I just repurposed the stuff for these costumes. I just love those kind of costumes!

My family is gong as Bees and my DH will be the Bee Keeper. I've made t-shirts for us and I am the Queen Bee, my mother in-law is the Honey Bee, my father in-law is the Worker Bee, my DD3 is the "Princess Bee" -- her term. My DD will have a store bought costume and wear a crown. If it all turns out, it should be pretty cool.
