This is us at the party in 2008. DH was Peter Pan, DD was Tinkerbelle, and I was Wendy. Also, mom2rtk made my costume as well .

It's a common costume theme, but we did Peter Pan in 2008:

We did Alice in Wonderland as our theme last year (classic Alice, not Burton Alice) - this was not at MNSSHP, but we hope to wear them there one day:

My friends did an Ariel theme, so we call this picture: "Alice meets Ariel"

Are you making it back soon? We finally made it last year, but after the record setting heat, I'm retreating to the Christmas party this year..... Still, I'm dying to go as Merryweather and Aurora..... Maybe by next year I'll forget how hot it was!

I absolutely love all of these pictures....each one of them are so unique and creative. We are going to our very first MNSSHP in September (we are so uber excited about it, actually DH and I are, kids don't know we are going.....yet). Anyway, DH and I already have it planned out that DH is going as Walter E. Disney (young version), DD6 will be Snow White (his first full length movie and first Princess), I will be the Evil Queen, and DD8 will be either Mickey or Minnie (depending on which one she wants to be, hoping for Mickey since DH is going to be Walt, but since she is a girl I can understand her wanting to be Minnie). I have been looking on line for costumes but having a hard time because all the costumes that we are going as will make us really hot, so now I am thinking maybe I will make the costumes....such decisions....plus I have never sewn in my life

Oh my goodness...Last September my husband and I got pictures taken with you guys!!!! We thought for sure you worked at Disney. We have gotten more compliments on these pictures. You guys are awesome. I thank you for the photo op!!!!

A couple of years ago my ex-boyfriend, his mother, and I went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. It was a total blast!! When we decided to buy tickets for it we knew we'd have to dress up. I started thinking about what themes we could do and eventually came up with Alice In Wonderland. My ex's grandma made all of our costumes. We got TONS of attention from other patrons as well as characters!

I wore a fullsized petticoat under my dress and frequently boast this fact when I have to wear something even midly uncomfortable. ("I walked around the Magic Kingdom in a petticoat, I can deal with tight jeans!!") I also wore black sneakers for comfort's sake.

Anyone have any ideas for a family of three for our first year? DD is 4 and we wanted us to be Tinkerbelle (DD4), Wendy (me) and Peter Pan (DH), but DH vetoed that idea QUICK!!!! I think he doesn't see it possible for Peter Pan to have a costume that's not REALLY SUPER TIGHT green tights!!!! I saw a man in a previous pic as Peter Pan and LOVED it!!!! But DH won't go for it!!!

Any other suggestions? DD would really like to do something Disney-themed, so we'd want to do Disney characters and would like all three of us to go together.

The Wife and I are doing Toga's this year...the Kids are doing the Pirate and Princess thing.

I'm choosing Toga simply because Toga's are Cool...AND I bet the wife would look great in one.

Well, DD's tap dance recital in June is a HSM theme so she will be wearing that costume I paid $65! I might get the Wildcat logo monogrammed on the front for her after the recital. I want to dress up and I'm thinking maybe just a mouseketeer this year (circa 1950's). I've seen pics of others in this costume and appears easy (and cool) enough

I don't have pics, but last year I saw these ladies that went as waitresses from Merlotte's(bar/restaurant from the True Blood series and books). The costumes were simple and cool but such a creative idea! They had t-shirts and aprons with the Merlotte's logo. I love the books True Blood is based on, so I was really impressed.

We were a bit shy for our first year, so did a sort of "three mouseketeers" theme. We at first thought no one would even consider them costumes, but we got many, many compliments. Our next MNSSHP we plan to go all out!

This pict isn't from MNSSHP, but so far I think I am going to "recycle" these costumes I made and take them with me this year. I figure if it's hot they will work(w/ shorts underneath) or if it's cold they will work(with long sleeve shirts and leggings)
