MNSSHP costume question

Hello!
My mom and I are planning a Sept 2012 trip!
I was looking into some Halloween costumes. We were looking at the Mardi Gras costumes. My question is can we wear the feather mask type things? I have read before that certain masks are not allowed. I wasn't sure what "certain" included. This are just plastic masks that have eye slits and go to our nose with beads, feathers and sequins glued on top and sides.
We don't want to break any rules.
Thanks

You will be fine. Even though they say no masks we saw people with full on costume masks (like Jack Skellington).

I know they discourage anything really super scary or gory, that might frighten kids. Obviously, (costume wise) nothing too revealing or with bad language written on it. There seems to be a fine line here, but they don't want you to look so much like a character that other guests will mistake you for a CM.

I've heard different guidelines from different sources. Just be prepared, I guess they could technically ask you not to wear the masks.:confused3

When we asked a CM 2 years ago we were told that adults were not permitted to have full face masks or any masks that were scary or gory. Half face masks were permitted as long as they were tasteful.

Awesome! Thanks so much for the replies.
I just need to figure out a way to pack them now without them getting smashed in my suitcase. :confused3

Not much I can add that hasn't already been said other than personal experience. We've noted a number of adults wearing masks in varying forms. Some had faces completely covered. Now I don't know if they walked into the park like that or waited until afterward to don the mask.

I think you would have no problem with the masquerade-type masks. Worst case scenario is that you are asked to removed them.

I've been trying to find an answer but can't...

We're getting married on the same day we go to MNSSHP in October. Can we wear our wedding attire?

If not a full wedding attire, what about a floaty white dress, partner in a smart outfit, and children in smart outfits/pretty dress?

I can't imagine them objecting to that.
Just for fun, you could add a festive hat or accessory, just to be in the costume spirit!

BTW, best wishes on your upcoming wedding! pixiedust:

Like they said before you will have no issues with that type of mask. They just dont want full face masks on adults for the most part.
