MNSSHP Columbus Day Weekend

My family was considering going down to Disney for F&W. My sister and i did it last year and loved it. We sold our parents on it, now, and we're in the beginning stages of planning it out.

I'd LOVE to go to MNSSHP. I know the parks probably see a spike in attendance during Columbus Day Weekend, so I was wondering if Magic Kingdom would host the MNSSHP? I'd imagine they'd be timid to host the party on a night where the park would be crowded, but who knows?

Anyone with experience going Columbus Day Weekend?

We'd go from Friday, October 7th through Monday, October 10th. We'd hope to get there later Friday night, spend all day Saturday at F&W, spend Sunday at F&W and go to MNSSHP at night, then come home late Monday.

We've gone to MNSSHP on the Friday of Columbus Day weekend the past two years. I don't recall the other days that weekend that it was offered, but we went on Friday and it was fine - not crazy or anything.

You could always look up a crowd calendar to see how busy they feel it is, but the parties by nature aren't too bad. Since it's a ticketed event it's much quieter than a busy day at the park. If they are having it while you are there I would definitely go as they are quite fun. Have a great time!

I mean, a crowded park doesn't bother us. We go every year during Christmas. I just wanna make sure if we're booking that weekend (Renting DVC points, most likely) that we'll be able to do the party on a Sunday.

Although, the party isn't make or break. We're most interested in the F&W.

For the past 2 years, the party has been moved from Sunday to Monday over Columbus Day weekend.

We went to the Monday party last year. It WAS crowded, but in all honesty it wasn't nearly as crowded as I thought it would've been given Monday was Columbus Day. Then again, after I realized my mistake (booking on Columbus Day ) I set my expectations very low lol, which is probably why I was pleasantly surprised.

Parties should be on Friday and Monday. If you are leaving Monday, Friday will likely be your only option.
