MNSSHP...Any restrictions on costumes?

My DW and I are two big kids and would love to dress up. Are there any restrictions on costumes? (for example: too scary, too adult-not that we would, no Disney, etc.)

Generally -- if you think it would interfere with your (or other guests') safety; would be offensive to others; or would interfere with you being able to ride attractions and use safety harnesses, etc.....then avoid that costume...... but really, just about anything is fine.

Just keep in mind that it IS Florida and some costumes will just be too hot (even in the evenings).

They also ask that you avoid bringing in anything that looks like a weapon.

I just looked because I thought I still had the list from last year, but I don't. Anyhow, when you buy your tickets Disney will send alittle notice along regarding costumes. It's pretty much common sense though-- nothing to scary or violent, no realistic weapons.

There is also a lot of deabte in regards to adults being too realistic in their disney characters. Some folks claimed last year they had no problems at all, while others said they were told they couldn't wear their costumes. So it remains a mystery as to the final ruling on that.

Last year we went on Halloween. It was really warm. So just keep that in mind. My costume had capri length pants, short sleeved shirt, and sandals and I was still roasting (it was really muggy that night!!!)

Heard most of the restrictions were for the Halloween Party night at PI. There they do not allow any Character costumes.

Don't want people leaving intoxicated in costume and ruining any images....Definately understandable!
