Hi everyone! We are going to the 9/15 MNSSHP and haven't gotten our 4.5 y/o a costume yet. My husband wants to wait and let him pick one out in Disney springs because he can't decide what he wants to be and it will be a fun surprise. Yes I know its cheaper to buy it at home but besides that can you buy Halloween costumes at Disney springs? And for anyone who has done MNNSHP what will he love to do besides trick or treating? TIA

I think you'd be better off purchasing a costume ahead of time as Disney World doesn't offer much in the way of boys' costumes. You'll be able to find pirate costumes as well Jake, Woody, and Buzz, but those options aren't always available (but are more readily found during Halloween season compared to other times of the year). Also, when my daughter was 4 1/2 she loved (and still does) the Boo To You parade and HalloWishes, as well as the super short wait times for the attractions!

We will be there too with our 3.5 year old! We have several grandparents going as well, and my kid isn't much for costumes, so I found iron on printouts on Etsy that are Mickey ears as a ghost, bat, devil, etc. I had a whole plan to be the cast from Up, but decided it was too much work and suitcase space.

If price is not an issue you can def get a costume at DTD.
We LOVE the Boo to You parade.

When we took our then 2 year old son four years ago we ended up buying a pirate costume in the shop outside the Pirates ride. We thought it would be too hot and he would wear a Halloween shirt but then changed our minds. I think you could probably find a few costumes throughout the parks but this is first year going back since then so I'm not certain.

On that same trip he loved the Boo to You Parade and Hallowishes. He also enjoyed the dance party with the characters.

The parade was our kids favorite part but one warning, the headless horsemen comes through at the very beginning and it freaked my 5 and 3 year old out..just a little warning ahead of time!
