MNSSHP and MDE with early entry?

A friend of mine will be in Disney for the first time next week and have tickets for MNSSHP during the week. The email they received says nothing about picking up their tickets at the will call window (as mine always has). It does mention linking it to MDE. I remember last year hearing issues with people doing this and it using one of the days admissions if they entered around 4. Has anyone had that issue this year?

4PM, it is.
They can pick up plastic tickets at any Guest Relations or ticket booth, or put the tickets in MDE (they are likely already there) and use a MagicBand or other regular park ticket.

If there IS an "issue" it can't be avoided no matter which "kind" of admission is used.
I would not expect an "issue," however.

Correct. You can use those, or put their number in your MyDisneyExperience account
(they may already be in there) and you can use a MagicBand for entry.

Perfect, I knew 4pm was the time they could enter. I honestly thought the tickets showed up under MDE before but they aren't there now. I wanted to make sure before they link them that it won't take one of their days (otherwise on their last day they won't be able to get into the park - which would be a bad first trip experience)
