We are flying in the day before our cruise and trying to decide if we should head straight to the port or attend MNSSHP. We have a 3 and 5 year old. Is it really a must see? Any advice on the party or thoughts would be great! Thanks.

I think it depends on if you are going for characters or rides or trick or treating. If you are going for a fun time and to see things you don't normally see it is a good time to be had. If you are going to ride rides and trick or treat you might not have a good time.

Brittany, we are sailing on DCL 11/21 and will be attending the "party" on Friday night before we cruise. We are driving from NC, will check into the All Star Music for the night and attend the party.

This will be our 5th MNSSHP and we just could'nt break the tradition. This is our normal time of the year to visit WDW, but are doing the cruise instead. This way we get to experience both "worlds"

We have always thought that this party was a good value, especially if you want to do a park. In our 4 years in attendance, the crowds have been very low due to the fact they only let in a certain amount of folks each night. 5 hours at the MK has always been enough for us at one time. The treats they hand out are a nice touch, and all of the rides tend to be "walk right on".

Are you on the 10/21 sailing? Or the 11/21 sailing? I bet you meant the first one. If so, we will be on that cruise too! It is our first one and we are so excited!

Thanks for the info on the MNSSHP, I think we will attend. What did you get for a rate at the All Star? Thats what we were thinking of doing too.

Hi Brittany, yeah I had a brain lock-up... Yes we are on the 10/21 sailing. Like mentioned before, this is our usual time to visit WDW, but we have always stayed at Ft. Wilderness in our RV. Since we are cruising instead, we decided to try to stay on site versus somewhere off site, so we chose one of the economy resorts.

The rate we got for Friday night was $111.00 incl the tax. Figured it would cost us that anywhere else we stayed off site, so we booked it.

We got the chance to "try" out the All Star Sports last October when we were evacutated from Ft. Wilderness due to Hurricane Wilma, so thought this would be fine just to spend one night.... I think all of the economy resorts are basically the same except from the themeing.

I hope we get to meet you and your family while we're there. Did you know that there is a thread over on the cruise forum just for the folks on our sailing? Here is the link to the thread.
