MNSSHP - Advance purchase

If you purchse your tickets at your hotel on the day of the party, is that considered advance purchase since you aren't purchasing them "at the door" of the party? I am leery on buying the tickets too far ahead of time in case of rain.

I wonder too. We are going in Oct for MNSSHP so I don't want to get rained on either nor do I want to get there without a ticket and the party be sold out? What are the odds of a sell out I wonder (Oct 5th party)???

My understanding is "Day of" (gate price) means that if you buy it anywhere on Disney property on the "Day of" then you will pay the full gate price.

Here is what was mentioned when the prices were released last year:

"Tickets must be purchased at least 1 day prior to event."

Also...

"Specially priced tickets must be purchased in ADVANCE and are not available on-site or on the day of the event. All Passholder tickets and DVC Tickets must be picked up at Will Call to validate discount."
