I'm going to be at Disney in Oct ( first time for Oct trip) I know the party starts at 7, but if you're not going to the party can you still stay in MK?? Or do they boot everyone at 7 who's not going to the part? ( I don't plan to attend the party) Thanks!

Everyone without a party wristband will be politely shown the exit at 7:00p. There are events throughout the park intended for party guests only.

Oh boy that's frustrating...the party doesn't take place every night does it?

No, it is not every night and the schedule is available months in advance so you will have plenty of time to plan around it.

Usually 3 nights a week in September (Tuesday, Friday, Sunday). Thursdays are usually added in October.

so confused by this thread. You know you have to pay extra for the party, but think you would be allowed to stay without paying for the party? the party is in all of MK, not just sections, is that what you think?

they start escorting out a little before 7pm as the party promptly starts at 7pm

I wasn't sure exactly how it worked. I didn't know it went all over the park or if it was in a specific section. Yes I know you have to pay for the party.

That's why I asked ;)

They still allow you to get in the queues all the way up to 7:00:00p--that is policy as it should be. There are "rogue" CMs however that get a little overexuberant and start pointing people to the exits, but this is the exception and not the norm. I can tell you if I was pointed out early I'd be stopping by Guest Relations on the way out.

The park "sweep" starts from the extremes of the Lands at 7pm and works it's way to the turnstiles moving guests without wristbands out of the park and is normally complete between 7:30 and 7:45. Usually, at 6:55 the bridge checkpoints will stop allowing guests to go into the Lands unless they have a wristband and sometimes right on the dot at 7pm, just depends on the Manager that is on duty for that night (normally it is 7pm). There is an announcement at 6:30, 6:45 and again at 7pm that guests without a party ticket will have to leave the park.

Beginning in late Sep the parties will change over from 3 nights a week to 4 and those schedules will usually be available by Aug. but usually the early Sep. (1st and 2nd week) dates are somewhat subject to change.

I am confused that some would think it just fine that I plan 1 year in advance to visit a park, pay $100+ for admission, then be escorted out early. I have just booked my first Disney trip for this September and I will be beyond furious if I can not use the ticket I paid for.

If you schedule a trip before the park calendar is posted, that's a risk you take. And the parties are held in the off-season. The parks would not have been open that much later anyway.

And you can be "beyond furiuos"......... but you'll have to do so beyond the gates of the park.

And before you have a fit. Those party days are golden for getting things done. Since many view it as you do, they choose to visit the MK on the 3 or 4 non-party days each week, leaving party days in the MK with much lighter traffic.

I should have. They started early last year when we were there. Not happy

Of couse it makes sense everyone who does not pay big bucks for the party must leave at 7. But if you have a hopper, party days have very low attendance during the day, and you can get a ton done until 7, and when you have to leave, you can hop to another park.

That's what we did, we have ap. I was just annoyed they were kicking out earlier than 7 but had no problem being out by 7. You pay a lot to go to the parties why should people be able to go for free.

You shouldn't be escorted out early. You are being escorted out at the park closing time-7pm. Nothing is preventing you from using the ticket you paid for.

The posted park hours that come out six months in advance will reflect the park closing time of 7:00. So, it is easy to plan around it. It can be done before you can even make your ADRs. I find the party to be a bonus.

1. As PP mentioned, there are low crowds during the day, so it is a great candidate for park hopping.

2. The party is really fun, so I would consider attending. Since it is a separate ticket, you can enter MK at 4pm (generally) without a park ticket. So, if you don't have park hoppers, you can use your park ticket at a different park in the morning and then go to MK for the party in the evening.

You can also make dinner reservations in any of the restaurants at MK until 6:45pm or so. This can maximise your time in the park. You'll have to leave after the meal, you won't be able to go on rides or meet any characters though.
