Does anyone know the dates to the party this year? My husband and I are headed 1st week in Oct and was hoping we would be able to catch the party

Assuming you are talking about Mickey's Halloween Party (Disneyland's version of MNSSHP), they usually announce dates in late June, and open ticket pre-sales in early/mid July, and open regular sales in later July. They usually are held a few nights a week, and 1 night on the weekend, so if you are there several days, you should have a fair chance of being there for a party day.

I only mention the difference in names for MHP vs MNSSHP because there have been reports over the last few years of people buying the wrong ticket (thinking they are the same), and being turned away at the gate because the ticket is for the opposite coast.

They usually don't announce the days until later but the parties are often on Tuesdays and Fridays which would be October 2nd and 5th. But there is talk that the party will be moving to California Adventure this year so things may change with the days they have the parties.

I believe they run the parties Monday, Wednesday’s and Fridays when you’ll be there. I went the last 2 years during that time and those were the dates that were available for the party. The closer to Halloween I think the dates might change. I know no matter what day of the week it is they have a party on Halloween.

The WDW halloween party tickets will go on sale first and then Disneyland’s- usually mid July. There is gossip of changing the party to DCA this year.

Based off of last year, the parties were only on the weekdays. There were no weekend parties. And I think in October they were just on Tuesday and Friday. September there were parties Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

I think you are right. My google searches for the 2017 dates resulted in September dates were on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays and the October dates were on Tuesdays and Fridays. Thanks so much everyone. I thought it was called MNSSHP but happy to know it's not so I do get the proper tickets. I've only been to CA once however we frequent WDW every 3 to 4 months so really excited to travel to the west coast in Oct. I'm trying to decide which days will be our park days so we don't have it cut short by the party dates. Does anyone know when DL and California adventure will release their park hours for oct

Park hours are released about 6 weeks out with the entertainment schedule filling in between 4-6 weeks out. Party tickets will go on sale at the end of July.

You're welcome. And yes, remember in California it's called Mickey's Halloween Party (MHP) The first week in October you should be able to catch a party, but you'll have to wait to see when the schedule is released to know for sure.

MHP has some similarities to MNSSHP, but there are distinct differences, too. Do a search on this forum for the Halloween Time Superthread from 2017. You'll find tons of information about Halloween Time at DLR, plus lots of info about MHP and what it was like last year. Last year was the first time that DCA joined the Halloween Time fun, with decorations going up on BVS, in the Carthay Circle area, in Cars Land, etc. Really fun. There is a rumor that MHP might move to DCA this year. No confirmation yet.
Just a suggestion: you might want to change the title of your post to MHP so that anyone doing a search for information for this year's Halloween party will find it. Otherwise, your post will show up in the WDW search threads.
