MNSSHP 2017 - Strategy in the making.

We are attending two parties. I am planning to meet J&S on one day and 7 Dwarves on another day. Hoping to meet them before the party starts and we can line up for other characters around 7. Then we will spend the rest of the night trick or treating and Magic shots. Must ride HM. We are not parade or fireworks people but it seems these should not be missed. Probably we will go by the ear with these. If we miss anything at the first party then we will aim for those at the second party.

We attended Villains Unleashed and were disappointed. Never got to meet any characters because the lines were too long and the ones we wanted to meet closed their lines early. The best experience was dining at Brown Derby. It took up lot of time lining up to get into the restaurant, but the food was great and the atmosphere was amazing! I hope we will be more successful with MNSSHP this time.

DH & DS have pleaded with me to ditch Jack & Sally  instead they want to meet Pooh & Gang. We meet Dwarfs already and I was not impressed... at all. Some have had awesome interactions but we didn't so good luck to you!

Sorry to hear that. And thanks for the good wishes! :flower3:

Dwarfs interaction was not great...though I think we got a bit of extra attention due to our costumes. Lots in front of us just posed and were done. But jack and Sally were amazing!!! One of the best interactions we've ever had! (Of course, we also had NBC costumes that year, too....)

I'm so jealous of everyone going to more than one party! I've revised my party plan a couple times while I've had free time and I just know half of it will go out the window. There's so much I want to do but we will have a blast no matter what. :)

I just revised my itinerary too now waiting to hear from DH & DS and hey it's my birthday weekend why can't I do what I want?!:rotfl:

We lined up for the dwarfs at 5:30 (a bit later than planned) and met them around 6:45. To maximize party time, definitely line up early.

We walked into the Snow White M&G right before the first parade and there was no one in line. She spent a good 10 minutes with us and we got over 30 PP pictures!! (We were dressed as Snow White, Evil Queen and 2 dwarfs.)

Was your party sold out? I wonder what Snow White would be like at a sold out party.

We met Snow White at shortly before the second parade last year and there was only 1-2 groups ahead of us. Our experience meeting Aurora in (the same spot) in 2015 was the same.

UPDATE to Page 1:

Post #3 - "List of Characters" added: Twitter link - great stuff you guys!

This is a great thread. My family is going for the first time for the September 1 party and we will need all the help we can get. With ages 4 to 74 we will need to have a good plan of action. I will really use the character chart. My girls (6 and 4) really want to meet the 7 dwarfs and I didn't know that there were so many other characters there for the party.

Oh no, I loved Jack at the Chirstmas party which is one of the reasons J&S are on my list for the Halloween party! But I'm going to try to squeeze in both J&S and Pooh & gang. One party so I have to get the most out of it. Any option you guys could do that?

I'm attempting Jack and Sally to begin with and then Pooh and gang at 7pm with two other M&G in between that depending on time. Once that's done Mickey and then getting ready for parade, show and fireworks. I'm already doing rides on another day and I have another party but I'm hoping I can squeeze a ride on HM as well.

We usually stick to our plans and go once a year for a short visit. I wish we had more time at MK even after all these years we still haven't done everything or met many characters. I think our time frame and crowd level limits us. This past spring break we didn't plan anything because DH usually has last minute business trips. Summertime is Boy Scouts, swim team and special classes for ADHD/Autism. Christmas at WDW - no thanks. Fall is still tricky but late fall isn't. Agreed, we have never left WDW unsatisfied.:-)

Our trip last May was my first time going in about 10 years and it was my DDs first time. We were able to do A LOT but we definitely could've spent another week seeing even more! I did lots of reading and planning for that trip (but somehow didn't find my way to this board????) so I feel pretty confident in my basic wdw knowledge but going to mnsshp for the first time on Halloween night feels like a whole other world of planning and strategy!

Agreed. Strategy is key as this will sell out and lines will start early on. I print a copy of our itinerary for DH, DS and myself giving us the option of splitting up and scheduling a spot to meet at.
For those not interested in a print out copy you could make a screenshot of your MDE in the morning and make it your lock screen saving battery & time.
