MNSSHP 2017 - Strategy in the making.

UPDATE: MNSSHP UPDATE via Guest Services:
I sent another email to Guest Services and added @anricat email as well. One thing to note is both give us availability to book 2 FP's and not three. I would like to know what time frame Disney expects us to adhere to so we all may move forward. I'll post their response when I receive it.

I easily booked three fPs yesterday for first party
3.30 to 4.30
4.30 to 5.30
5.30 to 6.30

i only have party tickets.

I agree with @Neverbeast . You're not the only one who has booked 3 FP's on just a party ticket and even though you were able to doesn't mean you won't have an issue later like prior to the party or during the party. We just need more information from someone who actually knows what's going on.

MNSSHP UPDATE via Guest Services:

With all the confusion regarding MNSSHP I wrote Guest Services with need of clarification on the following:
  1. Do I need a Regular Park Ticket AND MNSSHP Ticket to pick up my credentials at Tomorrowland Terrace at 4pm as described on WDW Dinning site?
  2. What time are guests able to enter for the MNSSHP?
  3. Are we able to make FP on our Party Tickets?
This is the response I received today, July 26, 2017:

Thank you for your reply. For any dining reservations (including the Dessert Party) that occur after 7pm on the date of the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, it is necessary that you have an event ticket for it. A regular ticket for the Magic Kingdom won't allow you to be in the park for the event which begins at 7pm.

All you need for the Dessert Party is a dining reservation. However, if that occurs when Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party begins, you'll need an event ticket to enter the Magic Kingdom. I hope that helps a bit. I apologize for any confusion.

If you have an event ticket, you can enter the Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm despite the event not officially occurring until 7pm.

You can set up Fast Passes between 4pm and 6pm if you like. It will essentially allow you to be able to set up 2 Fast Passes at that time (which is an unadvertised perk). Fast Pass times aren't allowed to go over 7pm. If you have a regular park day, you can set up Fast Passes from the time of opening until 6pm on day's when the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is occurring.

We look forward to seeing you soon, Kirk! Have a magical time!

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,

Holden Dooly

According to this we ARE able to enter at 4pm so again be at MK no later than 3:30pm and for SOLD OUT parties I recommend 3:15pm. For those who have had issues with cancelled FP's I recommend contacting IT and have them reinstate or give you "Anytime FP".

EDIT: On my first letter I sent I too received to robotic answers @Cluelyss pointed out "You may be able to enter at 4pm", I was not satisfied with this response and asked them to clarify. I plan on printing this and taking it with me, should I run into any issues I will respond accordingly.

Interesting!! On my FP day I was only able to make two fp with my party ticket. It actually was going to work out better for the lo to trick or treat and meet characters. Well, I got a wild hair a few days later and went to see if I could grab a 3rd and it let me! Man that site is just like Vanellope, glitchy!!! :P

I shall be taking advantage of the Minnie Van, will make getting to the Bon Voyage breakfast easier. Also on my last day I'm Hoping from MK to Epcot on the Express bus but I need to get back to All Star Movies for the Magical Express so again this would be great.

Speaking of the airport I was a bit worried about that update, I always get there 3 hours early and Disney recommends 4 hours for International I was thinking I

don't want to leave 5 hours early for the airport but its only certain airlines. I just spied a comment below that post:-

Jeff S said:-

This is only for certain airlines that fly out of gates 1-29. Only the following airlines are affected:

Aer Lingus, AeroMexico, Air Berlin, Air Transat, Avianca, Azul, Copa, Eastern, Frontier, Icelandair, JetBlue, Miami Air, Norwegian, Sunwing, WestJet.

I'm glad the "laptop ban" didn't get expanded, really didn't want to put my tablet in the hold. Apparently the batteries in the devices are not good in that part of the plane. - did a quick google and couldn't find anything, might not be true. Putting it in an extra tray is easy.

Only bringing it for back up photo/video storage.

Shame I won't get to meet Timone, I'm in AK one last time on the 30th but I don't fancy meeting Tarzan.

Oh Bex! I purchased Simplicity 100701 for the bunny ears, fur on the spool, and bought 2mm guage wire but I couldn't find the pink fabric, they do have pink flannel do you think that would work?

EDIT: I wanted it to be a little fuzzy. Grrr I couldn't find what I was looking for!

Would pink fleece work? It's nice because it doesn't fray (at least once you remove the fuzz from the edges!)

Cool, I think pink flannel would work might need something like a fabric stiffener because my felt was a bit rigid and easier to attach everything to it.

Yeah I'd have thought so. Can't think of anything for fuzzy but hopefully you find something.

I just worked with some fleece and it's a bit bulky. If I used it on top of the fur it would be way too thick. Thanks for the responding though, always good to get another point of view! The pink fabric I was looking for and they do make, the fabric is called microsuede and it feels like the skin of peaches. Real smooth with a little fur like quality.

@Bex258 I should be able to use featherweight fusible interfacing to stiffen. THANKS! :thumbsup2

Cool, sounds like its coming together. I should hopefully have a costume update tomorrow with the tail and more belt details. I re-watched the film and found a few bits I missed off the belt. The pictures online didn't give me the angles.

So I used some waterproof paint that works with fabric to the top of the ears to look more like Judy's.
I made the tail I put some pompoms inside some white felt fabric and stitched it up and then covered it in white faux fur and then on one side did the grey faux fur. I don't recommend using the pom poms it did not stuff evenly, I wish I had paid out for a bag of stuff, I just didn't need the size of bag they were offering. I have sewn on some of the black faux leather to create belt loops for the tail, its double layered for extra thickness. I'm not sure how it will sit on me so that'll be the next thing I might need to safety pin the bottom to my shorts or use some nylon wire to tie it in place.

The little bits are the dividers in Judy's belt, I re-watched the film and noticed she had these so I used the same materials I used for the pouches on the belt to create these.

Next up using a marker that works on plastic to fix up the detail on the badge. Then maybe making a fox spray out of a lip balm stick or an old glue stick maybe.

So I might be attempting my Belle costume this week. :cool1:

Thumbs up for the details! :thumbsup2
I would be happy if I am able to make ears that look like bunny ears. The Judy badge I ordered from eBay also didn't arrive as planned. I will be wearing a navy blue shirt with a police badge from a party store and hope that works. :rolleyes2

Oh no, I ordered one with the carrot pen

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B016...judy+hopps&dpPl=1&dpID=41u91bsvOUL&ref=plSrch

It just clips on so I may find a way to fix it on to my blue crop top. I have a light blue vest and a navy blue crop one for her police vest. I did the "summer" version of her uniform.

The ears were not to hard to make, bit time consuming. My sewing ability is sewing buttons that fall off and fixing holes in things. :rotfl:

Great job Bex! I've gathered all that I need to make DH top hat & ears but I'm currently hand sewing red satin rattail cord on DS sleeves for the stripes. Woof! what a lot of work! There are 21 stripes and so far I've sewn 13, I worked from 12:30 Sunday noon until 2:30 this morning and I'm on the first sleeve!!! A lady at the fabric store recommended gluing :scared: This piping is only 1/8" thick so I can imagine getting globs of glue everywhere and visible too despite it drying clear so no thanks!

Wow, I'm sure it'll look amazing and the time spent will be worth it. I wowuldn't use glue either, some of my bits didn't stick so I ended up sewing anyway. Great for holding fabric in place but definatly messy.
