MNSSHP 2012 Official Information

:headache: The etickets glitch sounds like they one they have with dining reservations (if you make a second reservation for a similar time you have a reservation for already, then cancel the first reservation (to free it up for someone and not get charged) the system can email you saying it has cancelled the second reservation and not the first, when in fact it has cancelled the first....)

On a side note I'm wondering why all our experiences with ordering these tickets, especially on the phone, are so varied ? We've got people not being offered will call, people offered it if you ask, tickets being sent out free of charge, charged for postage etc Yesterday it seemed a lottery as to whether a CM said you could even buy the tickets,.

I was actually never offered Will Call and I got charged 5 dollars for postage :confused3 They said it would be shipped in 7-10 days. (So I don't think that's FedEx)

Still happy I got my tickets! :rotfl:

I had trouble locating it too... but I finally figured it out! Go to the page for MNSSHP and then select the Book Your Vacation yellow tab across the top banner.

When the popup opens select tickets. It's the only ticket link I found that gave you a special events option. From there you can buy tickets - INCLUDING September 25th, which I just bought and printed!

Be careful - it defaults with general park tickets also in your shopping cart, just remove them.

Thanks for the info! I ended up giving up because I had to go to work but, my DH called back later and ended up talking to someone who knew how to get around the problems they were having. We got our tickets, finally!:)

Looking at going 10/12 which is a Friday, a no advance ticket price night. It is the only day we would be able to go. we have never been before, it will be me and DD7 and she wants to go so badly.

Are the crowds going to be so bad that night that we will not be able to do much.

1st time I called I wasn't offered will call or $5.00 shipping...the CM only offered me FedEx for $15.00. I had to hang up, call back and speak to a different CM who offered me will call, USPS = $5.00 and didn't mention Fedex until I asked her about $15.00 shipping. I went with the USPS shipping as I always do, but I thought that was odd.

I dont think that, outside of the late October nights, any night is going to be capacity, the pricing is just to try fill out the non-weekend nights. The 30th September is, I think, to try give Disney 5 weeks (essentially October) of premium Sundays rather than 4, because of how Halloween drops. I don't think planning for larger crowds due to Epcot 30th is a big factor.

I love Epcot but I dont think that any 30th would be as big a crowd puller as the 40th for Magic Kingdom/WDW was.

Pricing wise, when you compare it to something like Alton Towers in the UK (which I guess not many outside of the UK will have heard of), it compares very very favourably in terms of what you get/cost/quality. I don't mean to have a go at Towers, its just my opinion that they price themselves too high and more so for events.

I just bought 3 tickets for the party on Friday, Sept. 28th and the CM on the phone only let me buy 1 at the AP rate (I have an AP but the two people I'm bringing do not) and 2 at the regular rate.

I thought this was wrong but didn't badger her about it. I wonder if when I go pick them up at will call in Sept. I can figure something out with the CM at guest relations?? Or was the CM on the phone correct?

It's only a difference of $3 per ticket, but $6 is $6...

Thoughts??

I think that Sept 30th will be busy for a number of reasons.

- It's a Sunday, not a weeknight
- EPCOT celebration
- Runners, and friends/family in town for Sat. night run
- Tower of Terror fanatics in town for run/after party, who love Halloween.
- Far enough into the school year that parents are comfortable pulling kids out of school
- beginning of Food and Wine
- when I called through DVC the person I spoke had only sold tickets for the 30th so far, mine for the 28th were the first different ones.

I ordered tickets last night for the Nov 15th party. After I was given total the CM asked if I wanted them shipped. What I was charged worked out to the ticket price plus 8% tax so I am assuming I was not charged shipping. She siad I would not get a confirmaiotn email, but she did give me a confirmation number.

Anyone have problems ordering tickets through Disney World website? I've tried a few times today and my order won't go thru. :confused3 I kept getting errors regarding my credit card, but I called my bank and they said everything looks good. And to prove that, I just used my card elsewhere a minute ago...

My bank recommended that I call Disney and ask them why my order won't go through. Sigh....guess I'll just call and order the tickets. ::yes::

ETA: Just got off the phone with a CM. I was able to order my MNSSHP tickets, but the CM had a hard time locating the tickets in the system. And she was talking about how these party tickets just came out yesterday, and all of the CMs are having a hard time placing orders. I was put on hold twice so she could make sure I was getting the correct party tickets. Very thorough CM! Love it. :thumbsup2

I did get free shipping through USPS. Funny because if you order tickets on Disney's website, there's a $5 charge for USPS. Oh, well. Certainly not complaining! Just an observation. :surfweb:

Ah didn't know about the Tower of Terror run so I guess 30/09 could be busy, more costumes to see I guess :thumbsup2

Im a little nervous because we are going the 30th so I really hope its not insane.

Sunday might not be a weeknight, but the next day is Monday so many people might not attend because of that. As a runner fanatic including Disney races, I would probably be gone sometime Sunday to get back to work for Monday. I am hoping that logic works for me haha

I dont know anything about MNSSHP. Thinking about booking an Oct trip.

If I wait to buy tix when we get there (I do a room only booking and dont like to buy any tix until we get there in case we have to cancel our trip)....can they be "sold out" or are they never sold out but just more expensive? I dont care about them being more expensive, just would not want to get blocked out of having tix.

I knew I should have called MS this am!! :headache: Oh well...will call in the am...can't imagine our dates are sold out!
