MNSSHP 2006, Ready to start planning!

Does anyone know where to find a tinker bell costume for a six year old girl??? This disney online store only had toddler sizes. I didnt even see a peter pan one for a boy. My son is 4.5 and wants to be peter pan so of course my daughter wants to be tinker bell. I would like to buy them together. (and soon) Thanks in advance to you guys because I know this is the place that I will find what I am looking for!!!!!!

DH said he wants to go again! I can't wait! Last year we made t-shirts using Photoshop, $3 craft store t-shirts, and iron-on transfers. Think I'll do that again. We did get in early, 5PMish and noticed a lot of kids AND adults already dressed. One man was in the Disney catalog Donald Duck costume and looked miserable, but he could have felt silly. It is still pretty hot in early Oct. You may want to eat or have reservations before the official closing when they start hearding people to one part of the park. We were stuck eating someplace we didn't care for. However, we don't recall lines for rides. There was a ton of candy but I did see lines for candy. We left at around 11PM and cast members had a giant vat of candy to give away once out of the gate. They insisted we take more and fill our bags! The fireworks was worth the ticket price alone. DH agrees. Like last yr., we're driving to WDW the day of the party. It's a great way to start the magic!

We are still trying to figure out what design for our t shirts (the adults) the kids are going to be in costume, but the adults decided not to dress up, so its more magical for the kids. We are also debating about making our own treat bags as well.

I'm trying to decide between these two nights.

We will arrive mid afternoon Friday so it could be a fun way to kick off our trip. We are staying at the Contemporary so it's just a hop, skip and jump over to the MK for that night.

Monday October 2nd is another option - but it looks like that day would be best for Epcot as far as crowds and such.

Now that the 29th is not the first party do you think it will sell out? I went to a sold out MVMCP and I will never do that again!

Input?

Thanks

WDWO

I have been going nutz over this vacation. Want everything to be perfect :thumbsup2 We are going Oct 31 eating at Crystal Palace at 5:00. Think I will make t-shirts for adults and find something for the girls. Something new to pour myself into. For all of you who answer all our newbie questions and give out such wonderful information I wanted to say thank you too. I have learned a lot :goodvibes

That's tough. I'm buying tickets for the 29th (as we speak) and I think it's a great way to begin the trip. My guess is that a weekend night would be more crowded because of locals. Monday is a school night (unless there is a local fall break). :teacher: I have to get back to school, so my only option is the 29th. Last year on this same Fri. night it did not seem crowded in terms of lines. We got in before 6PM and walked onto most rides the entire time!

I had the idea of DS5, DD8, and I being the three little pigs (ok, so I wouldn't be such a "little" pig), and my DH being the big, bad wolf. I wasn't having any problems figuring out the details of the pig costumes, but I was for the wolf costume. First of all, DH wasn't absolutely thrilled about dressing up. Plus, I was only finding masks for a wolf, which wouldn't work.

Well, yesterday, DH & I went to the Disney Store & what did we find?! A Big Bad Wolf t-shirt!! It has the wolf's head/face on the front & on the back it says "Big & Bad". I couldn't believe it!! It's not like the wolf is a popular villian! I grabbed it & held it up for DH. He just started laughing & totally agreed that it would be perfect for our costumes! I'm so excited!

We're going on Oct. 10th, so if you see two little pigs, one not-so-little pig, and a big, bad wolf, be sure to say hi!

Aw, unfortunately I won't see your cute costumes, I'll be there on Oct 6th. Infact Oct 10th is a sad for me as this is the day we end our WDW vacation :(

...Anyone know if they're will be free prizes being handed out as part of the YEar of a Million Dreams Celebration during MNSSHP???

bamagirl@hrt I will look for you and say hello. We will also be there on the 10th. Glad to hear of some others. DH, DS, DD and myself will be the Peter Pan group. DH has the Hook costume with myself as Wendy, DS and DD are PP and Tink. DH may have to ditch costume early. I'm afraid he'll be a little warm. Perhaps I could find him a T-shirt and he could just carry the hook. We have 5PM ADRs at LTT. We'll look for you.

This will be our first trip to WDW. I've been reading the posts for some time and gotten lots of info but now I have a question. We will be attending MNSSHP on 9/15 and staying at AKL. Can anyone verify that the shuttle service will still be running at midnight when the party is over?

Yes, the buses will still be running. We left the park around 12:30 last year and had no problem getting a bus.

Disney Bus transportation runs an hour after parks are closed which includes EMH and Special events

how long should I expect the bus ride to be from the Caribbean Beach to MNSSHP Oct 17?

Here's the thing....our flight doesn't land until 5pm. We're renting a car and will drive to CBR. We may or may not check in right away, but will change the kids into costumes and head to MNSSHP immediately. I've been told it would be quicker for us to take the bus from CBR to MK than to drive right there and deal with the TTC.

I'm HOPING to be able to get on an earlier flight but won't know about that until the day before we leave (I don't want to pay change fees to switch our flights...$200...ouch.) There's also a possibility of switching our hotel to the Polynesian, which would be more convenient for MNSSHP. As it is now, we're staying at CBR for 3 nights then the Polynesian for 5 nights. Haha, what did a pervious poster say about the endless scenerios???? :teeth:

I would give yourself 20 mins to a hour depending on when the last bus left your resort. I never really waited too long for a bus. The pain is when you need to go resort to resort then you tend to need at least an hour.

Should I be worried I didn't get my tix yet? Ordered them on 6/7 when I called to make a payment on our 10/22-10/29 trip. Ordered the 10/26 date and booked an ADR for LTT...I am very excited!!! But we didn't get our tix yet!!!
DH has his costume all planned and it rocks and so does DD and DS. I am sewing up Snow White's nemesis's costume which is the same costume I wore to a party in 1994! Too bad I gave that one away, but I do still have the glittery posioned apple!!!!

I have a question about this ywars MNSSHP:
They keep advertising the parade this year as having a new ending featuring Goofy's Candy Factory.
Did anyone go to last years party? Because I did, and that ending is not new this year. That was the ending for the parade last year as well. Does anyone know what's different about it?
